Beautiful City Monterrey and My friend and I went down in June and it was really good. I had no promblems I was banded by Dr. Rumbrant and he and his team were amazing. They are very clean hospitals and they are polite and really care. Hope you have a great experiene.

I get my first fill August 21 as my doctor is going to South Africa!!!!!! UUUGGGGG I was banded June 17 and feel I need a fill but hey the band is in and it is only aa few weeks off and I will need to work hard at still trying to lose and maybe appricate the band LOL

Hi all I am from Beautiful British Columbia Canada. It is an amazing part of Canada. I live in a small town and we have a ton of outdoor fun. My husband of 10 years is in the logging business, we have 2 daughters Mackenzie (11) and Saige (3 almost 4) and a dog of 15 years Whisky. We have a ski hill and I manage the food and beverage department. I have 4 months a year off which is summer. Our winters are long 6 months and can be cold. I was banded June 17 with my friend by Dr. Rummbraut in Mexico and he was amazing!!! I feel good but am getting hungry now. I am excited for this journey and can't wait till the first fill!!!! I am gonna watch this thread as I was banded June 17 and have no fill either. I am exact where you are. I walk 1 hour and I walk interval so lots of down then hills and feel like I hit a Plateau! I do not count calories but they are way less than what I normally would eat!!!!

Ok I went to Mexico for lapband all is well and my doctor was going to do the fills but is heading to Africa and will be gone 6 weeks and my friend and I need our first fill in 2 weeks and he leaves in 1 so I need a doctor in BC who will do a fill and we are up north in Smithers BC so whereever we go will be a long drive. I am desperate please help Thank-you muchly!!:thumbup:

I had lapband June 17 and have lost 15 LBS since then YAH!!!!!!!

SO I WAS BANDED JUNE 17 AND ALL IS PRETTY WELL EXCEPT I WENT FOR A GOOD HARD WALK LAST NIGHT AND WHEN I WENT TO BED I FELT SORE IN THE RIBS AND CRAMPING LIKE I WAS KICKED IN THE RIBS. WHERE THE PORT IS IS REALLY SORE TO WHEN BENDING UP AND DOWN . SOME DAYS ARE FINE THEN OTHERS ARE LIKE OUCH DAMMIT. I AM EATING MUSHIES FOR ONE MORE WEEK AND FEEL I CAN EAT PROBALY MORE THAN I SHOULD BUT I HAVE NO RESTRICTION. IS ANYONE ELSE STILL SORE AND IN THE PORT AREA?:biggrin:

What does the straw do if it is like a protien drink? More gas?

Heating pad helped and lots of walking for me plus cammoile tea!!! Good Luck

I was banded June 17 and all is well. I walk alot because I had the gas pains so bad. I am not getting enough protein some days and need to be more watchful. The pain is almost gone except a bit stiff in the mornings. I had a hiatus herina fixed at the same time. I haven't weighed myself yet but will do that. I don't feel starved at all yet I am sure that will come though. I start mushies on Tues. I have to wait till 2 weeks after surgery then it is 2 weeks of mushies before food. The doc wants me to wait till 6 weeks before first fill. I am a little scared to do that. I don't know why but I am. Look forward to seeing alls progress Good Luck:rolleyes2:

Hi there I was banded June 17 and haven't gotten back on a scale to know what I have lost guess I should lol. I am still unable to sleep on my side where the port is. The gas pains lasted a long time but I feel good I start mushies on Tuesday so that should be interesting. No major hunger at all yet sure that will come!!! I do feel like I swallow grass or something so when I swallow saliva it feels weird hope this passes. Will watch for all june 16/17 bandsters!

I think everyone is different some can have carbination no promblem later I think much later. It can cause stomach to slowly strech and all that work would go out the window. Some have no problem. I am a bit scared with all the negitives on this question that comes up all the time.

I am going to Moterrey Mexico on June 15 and getting banded June 17. I am anxious/ nervous and excited but wondering that I come from a social family and friends and includes out for food and drinks and sometimes we have a to good of a time and one to many cocktails. I know the food is gonna be a much smaller portion and no more late nights but has anyone gone and had a few coctails and was it ok? Also the slimmed what is that and how does that feel? Is it hard to breathe?
