I tested negative for Covid... so that’s not it.... thank goodness

I am 16 days post op and everything tastes bland... and then i don’t want to eat it!!! I knew some of my tastebuds would change... but this is crazzzzyyyy!! ???

So I am 3 days post op... and yesterday was awful!!! I knew i needed a small hernia repair... but it was actually a large hernia!! Dr said he had to pull my stomach out of my diaphragm and reposition my esophagus and then stitch everything in place. I kept liquids down just fine in the hospital... but when the good surgery drugs wore off... the nausea was uncontrollable and everything made me vomit, including the pain and nausea meds. Call the dr office and they said i may need to go to the er... i told them i just needed something to control the nausea and the vomiting would stop. They called in liquid med and it worked. Today was soooo much better. I never really had the gas pain, but i could keep the pain meds down to control the incision pain and the hernia repair pain. I got about half my liquid and half my protein in... so i will take it!!

Today is the day! I am registered at the hospital and waiting to go in!!! Wish me luck... PS... my nerves are making my stomach bubble

Covid test is negative and I am all set for surgery tomorrow at 10:00...

Had my Covid test yesterday and it was horrible... my right nostril is still hurting..... and i was STARVING last night. I had to mentally chain my body to the bed because i was craving potato chips... i rarely even eat potato chips.... i even said i will get them and just lick the outside.... arghhhh.... today has been better... but i have always been a night snacker and i feel it coming back. Surgery is on Friday.... i am struggling

I get migraines... so my dietitian told me I can still drink a cup of regular coffee in the mornings to keep them at bay without medication.

Yes. It is supposed to be more accurate and cause less pain after surgery. The dr is looking through a very hd screen and controlling robotic arms

Alot of us gained weight after being cancelled...... You are not alone! I am still having a daily food funeral . My surgery is June 26 and i have to get back on track also

I am at Northside also with Dr. Lytle. Just found out yesterday that it will be robotic

What hospital is your surgery being performed? I am having mine done in Atlanta also.

Just got my date on Friday. Original date was 4/13... now 6/26 with Dr Lytle in Atlanta. I called the office once i found out they started scheduling

New date 6/26. Original date 4/13.... i can’t wait

I finally received my new date!!! June 26th it is. My original date was 4/13. This wait has been hard. I have been eating really, really bad and gained about 5 pounds. I live in Nashville, but will have surgery in Atlanta with Dr. Lytle. Hopefully there is not another delay..... I have to spend 2 extra days prior to surgery in Atlanta for covid testing..... Let’s keep our fingers and toes crossed!

Look for an online psychiatrist. I did the first part of my evaluation online and the the dr called for the second part. Took about 20 minutes and 98 dollars!

I was scheduled 4/13 with Dr Lytle and got cancelled..... They have not given me a new date... I called the office last week and they stated they have not gotten sates from Northside....... I am so very frustrated!

I have been cancelled ........ They will call sometime in May to re-schedule....... ARGHHHHH

We won't give up...... but we sure can complain about (until we feel better anyway )!!

I coordinated alot of moving pieces to make my surgery date happen.... Scheduling time off from work, Coordinating care for my mother who I care for after a stroke, child care for my kids, Flight for my daughter to take me to procedure, travel and hotel since my insurance has made me have procedure in Atlanta..... I called the surgeons office yesterday and they said I was still on the schedule and then the Governor of Georgia enacted the stay at home.... and as i'm typing this Northside is calling to re-schedule my upper GI to May.... but I need it prior to surgery on 4/13.... ARGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH
