I am new to the idea of the lapband and haven't had my first consultation yet (tomorrow!). I was thinking about it last night since I have a child and how children carry diesease (:cool2:) what if I get the stomach flu? Won't the vomiting make my band slip?:thumbup:

Hi all, I am self-pay from the beginning unfortunately. My insurance does not cover anything to do with weight loss surgeries. For those of us who don't have to qualify for insurance, what is the pre-surgical process like? Do we still have to do all the weigh ins?

I go to get my 'homework' on Wednesday. How long was the process to get approved for LapBand? Keep us posted on your progress!!
