  1. Sounds like my band life story too...thanks for sharing I was like you wouldn't give up I asked that everything be taken out and measured and sure enough I didn't have in there what had been noted gave me a slight fill and I have been at my sweet spot for 2 months now...Thanks for your story I just know it will help lots of people!!!!!!!
  2. I started out 369 and went withthe band now 10 months later I am on my way to two'ter ville!
  3. Jeepgal, I LOVE LOVE YOUR ATTITUDE, but I have to be on her side for a minute and agree with you at the same time I too regret telling as many people as I did due to my slow weight loss and sometimes I let the get to me and it bothers some people where as others are a tad bit strong minded. But I see why she wouldn't want anyone to know just out of some people people tend to be a bit more private than others, ( I fall under that catagory at times myself hence why I can relate to her) but I love your attitude and your strong will....goooooooo Jeepgal!
  4. Oh and next time someone puts you on the spot and ask you about and OVER HEARD conversation between TWO people kindly tell them it's a personal matter, I am sure you were stuck and just let it out but never do that again trust is a hard word to "trust" yourself or anyone with! And i agree hold your head up high becasue this is by far a huge battle to fight but we all prevail and you will too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  5. I think that if the manager has offered to address this issue and knowing you don't really like confrontation then I say let her because actually the conversation was in front of her and she is aware of you telling her that you didn't want your business out there....and she did just that. And also let her (the girl spreading the gossip) know that having the "band" is no FREAKIN EASY WAY OUT!!!!!!! (sorry for the rant there) but come one you will see when your banded that it is in no way an easy way out actually it's harder if you ask me!!! I think she is just jealous becasue come on we all see the commercials of SUCCESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GOOD luck to you!!!!
  6. LOL!!! Not laughing at you but I had the smae experience I bent the needle too!!!! I have lots of scar tissue but my doctor knows how to work me so to say he has the trick I guess! Don't feel bad!!
  7. Yea you might need a few more fills for some reason the realize band needs to be "filled" if you get my drift I was at 7.6 and had no restriction and as soon as he filled me to 8.7ccs I found "restriction" I have been there for 2 months now.
  8. LOL!!! That was funny, sorry your story not what happened to you ok...Well get yoruself out there and get a new scarf ok!!!!
  9. I am pleased to say that you don't even know it's there maybe after a month or so sometimes I feel for it just to see if it's still there I am 9 months out and can't find it anymore but it's there It does not hurt, well maybe the first 3 days or so if you move a certain way it can tug a bit and bring on some pain but it's not unbearable if you will...good luck and you will be fine promise!!!!
  10. To this day I still need to get those napkins in my car this brings too many memories back LOL!!! I used nice pretty gloves in the glove box before I had no choice I hate those accidents...but it has taught me to SLOW DOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  11. I gained a time or two between fills don't worry everything will be alright...patience!
  12. LOL!! Funny I was just thinking about this the other day didn't know it was called "2sday" great now I have a name for my special day now!!!! Anyway for someone that hasn't seen 2sday in MANY years I can say I am looking forward to it I have 15lbs to go and I can't tell you how excited I am to get this far from where I was..its been a long haul but as I look back I feel good that I have come this far and actually give myself a pat on the back to to say! GOOD luck to all!!!
  13. Yes you have to help the band a bit and eat right. I CAN NOT eat chcken for the life of me. Although when at Olive Garden yesterday I was able to order the chicken alfredo without the noodles and I tell you I savored every 5 pieces of chicken and it went down and was very good!!!!! Now today I can barely get Soup down ugh...it's touch and go if you ask me!
  14. I chose the realize band, the choice was mine, I even asked the doctor which one he would put in and he told me that he has two kids and would place one of each. I did my own research and saw the band in person and I chose them for my personal reasons I won't share them (becasue your still in the deciding stage) and because people tend to go on other's experiences I say this becasue I do the same thing...everyone is different I see that a person above me lost almost double that I have and we have the same band. they say that the realize band people tend to lose slower, and it takes longer to get to the restriction level at first this is true and I was very down about it but you know what I wouldnt't have it any other way I am still a LOSER (a good one) and that is what counts! Good luck in making your decision!!!!!
  15. Ditto actually I listen for it because then I know I still have restriciton LOL!!!:lunch:
  16. OMGosh I almost cried and started laughing that is so cute!!!!!! Thanks for sharing!!!!
  17. I am going to throw myself out there but I never do liquids after fills I listen to my band and eat small moderate meals and I have always done fine. But please always listen to your doctor, me I am rebulius hence why I am over weight. But now I have my lil friend (the band) that straightens me out once in a while. :lunch:
  18. Funny I came across this Jack, I have Diabetes Insipidus which they call "water diabetes" we LOVE water and can drink up to a gallon of water in less than 2 hours, so interesting that it weighs so much never knew that. So on my days that the medication does NOT get absorbed into my nose (that is how I take it) I tend to drink alot of water that day hence the reason I am weighing so much then next day! Thanks for the info!!!!
  19. I was so hungry last night I just knew I was going to over eat but NOPE the band was making the decisions last night and showed me a thing or two. When you get to restriction (your sweet spot) you will be on the road to forgetting this post ever happen good luck!!!!!!
  20. Great job!!! Congrats!
  21. What a way to put it, thanks for the memo!!!!
  22. Funny I am the same way eat bad and I am down a few lbs. I say just because you don't eat alot you will lose weight I think it's the other way around eat right or at your target calories per day and it will continue to drop that is for me anyway...GOOD luck I am like 15lbs from buying a Wii fit I can't wait!!!!!!
  23. Umm yep I was suppose to be at 10ccs in a 9 cc band and still no restriction, so I asked him to take it all out and measure it and what do you know I only had 7.6ccs in there he added 1.1ccs and I think the 8.7ccs is my sweet spot I didn't even go to my this months appointment because I am content right where I am. Good luck hope your future fills won't go missing again!!!
  24. Well I am under that by 15lbs but I will wait till I am in the two-oderland is there such a word, oh well meaning until I reach the 2's I should be fine then... What a couple of months I can wait thanks!!!
