  1. @sillykitty I know there is no way to predict. But to actually say that though!!! I just never would ...not ever try to hurt someone that way. And maybe hurt is to strong of a word.
  2. So I was having a conversation with a coworker about breast size. She is aware that I am dieting...but that's all. Anyway I shared with her that I was a size 36C before I got pregnant and then started to gain weight 4 years ago. Now I'm in a 48DDD. Yes triple D's. She informed me that I would never be back lower than a DD with sagging boobs. I thought that was a horrible thing to say which is why I didn't share that I had WLS with her to begin with. What she said hurt my feelings a bit. Whatever happened to encouragement. Isn't that free?
  3. @AJ Tylo [emoji38]. That was totally hilarious and also true. I am so happy I belong to this site. You all are so supportive and give that extra push when needed. Thank you all so much!!!!
  4. Today is exactly 1 month for me and I am down 20 lbs. I feel kinda blah about that. I was definitely expecting more. Most of the weight loss came the first week I lost 12 lbs. So it has been really slow weight loss after that. I thought I understood this whole process but I guess I don't. I am feeling discouraged at the moment. Sorry to ramble along.
  5. Hi there!!!! I've been on this site here and there. I reside in Atlanta. I was sleeved 3 weeks. So far I have lost 15.4 pounds.....kinda depressed about that. I guess going in looking through the stats of others I thought I would be further along. So for me I kinda used this site as a means of guidance. But I am definitely open to making friends through this tough journey!!!
  6. I am 3 weeks and also have a black stool. I take all of my vitamins and drink plenty of water. I don't think I get enough protein though. I go to the doc next week and plan to mention it then.
  7. Day 6. I had my 1 week post op today and I lost 10 pounds since surgery. I'm happy about that. I did notice that I started to feel hungry. Will that feel stay with me?
  8. My surgery was 10 /22 and I went back to work on 10/28. I'm feeling good so far
  9. I was the same ways....my nerves were all over the place. You will be just fine. Good Luck
  10. Day 5....Guess what? I went back to work!!!! I took my vitamins this morning, sipped on protein water on my way to work. I have a desk job so its not at all physical. I was so busy I forgot to eat. Actually I didn't get hungry. I did sip water/ Gatorade zero all day at work so my water intake is good. I didn't need any pain meds. When I got off work I had chicken broth. Tonight I will try to squeeze in a liitle protein drink and call it a night.
  11. I'm from Atlanta. My sleeve was done 10/23/19. I am 48 years old.
  12. Day 4 So it has now been 4 days since my surgery and I am so much BETTER. I was able to take my vitamins early with no problem. Actually I can't wait to get off of them and switch to anorher brand because they are so sweet. Anyways I ventured out to Walmart and ended up feeling nausea....not sure why. I continued to walk and sip anyway. I have got to get rid of this gas. But guess what I discovered.....i am getting my recommended does of water in. So I am happy about that. Protein is another story. Last night I mixed my water with the Premier protein shake and I seem to tolerate the shake better. So I will do that from now on. Let me tell you all what helped with my nausea....at least I felt like it did..... HOMEMADE CHICKEN BROTH. Oh my God is was so delicious. I had to remember to go slow but it so sooooo good. So I purchased the plastic container bowl's to store it for my daily lunch/meal. How are you all doing???
  13. Thanks Guys. Actually I didn't get a chance to test it out. My BF purchased the sweet lemonade and that was a no no.
  14. You look awesome!!!! Congrats!!!!
  15. Can I drink the sugerless lemonade from Chick-fil-A during the liquid phase?
  16. Can I drink the sugerless lemonade from Chick-fil-A during the liquid phase?
  17. Thanks I appreciate the words of encouragement.
  18. Yes I take a nausea pill everyday (prescribed).
  19. Good advice. Thanks so much!
  20. Also I feel miserably full. From forcing myself to drink water.
  21. Day 3 for me I think for me I'm trying to distinguish between actual pain or gas pain. I pulled myself up out of bed and I have been walking. I'm still in pain but I am trying to walk more. I have slowed down on the meds. If I take all the meds they make me sleep, so I decided today not to take the scheduled amount. So I am sitting in the living room today trying to drink water, walk, and not focusing on the pain. Lets see I took all my vitamins this morning with no problem. Oh yeah, I'm still only about to keep down water.
  22. Thank you so much !!
  23. Yes, I have nausea pills. I am just hoping it will pass.
  24. Today is my day 2. Surgery was 10/23/19. I came home from the hospital yesterday and I am in sooooo much pain. I have been drinking water but thats it. I tried to drink a pre-made premier shake and couldn't keep it down. I also tried to drink a vitamin water and could not keep it down. I'm not able to sit up. I can only lay prompt up on pillows. I am taking my vitamins as I write this...so far so good. How long will this pain last. I haven't passed gas yet but I keep beeping alot. Any thoughts
  25. This is Day 1 for me. I'm still in the hospital hoping to go home. My nurse told me I had to drink 2 bottles of water before I went home...so I'm struggling with that. For breakfast I'm having broth. They just gave me Tylenol via IV. So the pain is bearable. Now I am getting ready to walk the halls to help with this gas. I am definitely feeling better today.
