Weight loss after pregnancy post WLS?!
Sorry just seen this now. Yes they were happy with the weight gain. Month 9 I did gain another 8 pounds (my appetite went crazy) so 15 pounds total. Baby was 7 pounds healthy and perfect! By 2 weeks post partum my weight went back to pre pregnancy weight. But then the holidays came and I did gain about 10 pounds, so I would just say be careful after you give birth and try to continue healthy eating habits.

Weight loss after pregnancy post WLS?!
I was also worried about gaining too much weight. I’m 4 years post vsg and 8 months pregnant. I’ve only gained 7 pounds the entire pregnancy. Nausea, acid reflux, and food aversions played a role in that. Plus, eating smaller portions due to the sleeve. We’ll see how it goes after I have the baby because I’d love to lose about 20 pounds.

Anyone develop Laryngopharyngeal reflux (LPR or Silent Reflux) after Gastric Bypass?
I am 25 weeks pregnant and was recently diagnosed with silent reflux. The ENT doc put me on Pepcid but it has not helped much. It only started when I became pregnant. I was sleeved in 2019. I had the exact lump in my throat even called 911 several times for feeling like I couldn’t breath until it was finally diagnosed. I feel for you. I hope things get better.

Yes! It’s thicker and has a better flavor. To me it taste like “real” bbq sauce. I won’t buy the original sugar free one anymore. I thought the original was ok.

This Pre-op diet is a b$@!:
I was so fortunate my surgeon only required 2 days of clears. It was tough. The red white and blue popsicles were a life saver. Hang in there. You got this!

Diet soda
Yes, maybe like 1-2 times a month. I don’t crave it like I did preop. I feel like if I wanted to, I can go without it. I also didn’t have my first drink of Diet Coke until I was 1 year out.

Fruit
I do! But not a lot. Maybe 1-2 times a week. I had a small banana the other day for the first time in 6 months or so. I’m 1 year out. It made me soo full. I try to stick to the berries since they are lower in sugar. But I find I get full quick when eating fruit.

Meal prepping
Like many others I fell off with a 5 pound weight gain in the last couple months. I started meal prepping and have done extremely well the last few weeks. I noticed when I stopped meal prepping I did poor with my diet. Just throwing it out there for anyone struggling. My go to meals are eggs and turkey sausage scramble for breakfast. Lunch is a low carb tortilla wrap usually with turkey. Dinner has been baked chicken thighs and broccoli.

Keto vs. No Keto
I am 1year 3 months post vsg. I’ve lost 70 pounds. I did low carb/keto for majority of it. I have 20 more pounds to go. I was losing very slow for month 11 and 12. I think I lost 3 pounds total for those 2 months. I never counted calories while on keto. I switched to a low calorie intake and have lost 2-3 pounds every week for the last month. My calorie intake ranges from 1000-1200 a day. I eat 4 small meals a day. Exercise. No snacking. I still use low carb tortillas and other lower carb foods. I just try and eat balanced and healthy. Hope this helps.
