  1. @loridee11 - I’m at the South Sacramento location. I don’t think any of the Kaiser’s prescribe a liquid diet before surgery.
  2. I am December 2 at Kaiser Northern California. I thought I would have to go on a liquid diet but Kaiser doesn’t require that - they let you eat up to 8 hours prior to surgery! They said it is easier for the body to heal after surgery. Definitely thankful.
  3. My husband and I enjoy eating out quite often, hence the weight gain. Now I’ve learned to deconstruct meals to take in protein first, then non starches, starches, then fruit. Wish food establishments wouldn’t charge for a full meal when you’ve taken out a good portion of the no-no foods.
  4. @renjenn - with all due respect, why say anything to them at all? If they really have no business in your personal life, then why say anything? I’d keep it to those who *need* to know (e.g., work supervisor, person who will be caring for you after surgery etc).
