  1. time, time, what time is your surgery??
  2. Did any one do this???? OMG, Burger King ran out of food, in the town I live! LOL It's an anticipation thing, I'm not saying it's okay to do, but very few pre-banders DON"T do it. Just keep yourself looking straight ahead. You'll be great. Yes, we would love to hear more from you, keep in touch!!
  3. Ah Kim, I'm soooooo excited for you, ya please let us know what time your surgery is, so we can send you some good vibes:hippie: . Are you nervous? I've been told nurses are usually more nervous. Oh, BTW, sorry Mandi, I already had dibbs on the 649 money.
  4. Yikes, gotta go then, Thanks!!!!
  5. Maria - your doin great, who cares you split it up, YOUR DOIN IT!!!! thats what counts! Ratgirl - Dr. Cobourn is one of the nicest people I have ever met. You'll be just great with him. And, Congratulations, please keep us informed on your journey!!
  6. You absolutley are right Kim, and something should be done!! You cannot come on here and not tell us how the BBQ went!! KIM you have surgery in just a couple days....ARE YOU NOT PUMPED!!! I am so excited for you:clap2: :clap2: . I'm not trying to change the subject......It is appalling, and they should look at it as an investment into peoples lives that will save them billions of dollars in the future, if they dont have to pay for heart surgeries, diabetes, strokes, etc....YOU ARE RIGHT!!
  7. You are such a _hit disturber, Mandi!! No pun intended... LOL
  8. LOL, Poor Deb, Ya shoulda said your Dr. was someone else. We are all going to hold YOU personally responsible for argon not getting her fill..LOL..na, not really.. Welcome again!!
  9. Welcome Deb! Congratulations on your band. Are you doing mushies now, or still liquids? Won't be long and you'll be knawing on steak, LOL. Keep in touch!!
  10. Loriely, you are doing great. Good Luck with your fill, and let us know how it goes:ear: , we are your nosey friends who always want details:) . Kim, I wouldnt eat the ground turkey and chicken and tuna for a few weeks and when you do, kill it with mayo, thats what I slimed on, and that experience wasnt pretty. For the first, it's just Clear liquids, but when you move to JUST liquids, I went out and bought all the soup I love and strained them, then when that went well, I would make the soup and dump it in the blender and made cream soup out of all of them. If you like Italian flavour, you could make tomato soup with milk to get your Calcium, then I sprinkled parmesan cheese on top, that was real good. Sorry, I'm making myself hungry, I can't imagine what its doing to you. I'll shut up.
  11. it's not easy, keep going. what helped me, among alot of things, was I just got really mad, enough was enough!!:scared: please remeind me of what I said, next time I fall in a hole, K?
  12. Okay, tomorrow is the end of the first week. I think that we should post how were doing. Good or Bad. We can revise or give some support. Only check-in if you want, no pressure!
  13. Loriely, how have things been for you. It's been around a month now, right? When I was 3 1/2 weeks post, I slimed on tuna salad. OMG that was horrible. When do you go for your first fill?
  14. Oh ya, jello. I bought that jello that is already made in cups. I put a little on my tongue, and let it melt into a liquid. Ohhhhh cherry, lime, orange, strawberry, oh yahhhhhhhh.
  15. Holy smokes, I think I forgot too. I think that clear fluids for a week. But I agree with mandi, YOU HAVE DONE THE WORST!!!!! After surgery you wont be hungry for a while. And ya, you can a clear soup, tea, ahhh what else is there, I forget, I just know it's much easier then, trust us!! I do remember about 2 days after surgery, mixing a double batch of "Lipton chicken noodle soup" then straining out the noodles. OMG, that was orgasmic, truly. :omg: .
  16. Kim, yes your right, it is a safe place to fall. It's great to be able to go somewhere, were for once, people truly understand. :scared: I'm not playing this food game ANYMORE, I'm sick of it! I have many more wars to fight, but I'll win. (I'll win because I will, and because I have a great support team, YOU GUYS)!!!!!!
  17. Hey Guys, I just wanted to thank everyone for there encouragement and strength. I am feeling way better the last few days, and feeling like I'm back on my game plan again. I hope you all don't feel like I'm being a whiner, I just promised myself that this band was going to be IT. That, I was going to do this different. That I would ask for help, when I need it, be an open book, and not pretend that I know it all, or that I don't have anything wrong. But that I can still be strong!! You guys got me over the hump. Maybe a few more to come, but I'll worry about them when or if they get here. From the bottom of my heart, Thank-you!
  18. Whew, I'm glad your still doing good. Ya the BBQ thing would be hard for me too. Maybe you should just see how it goes. If your feeling good about your weight loss maybe it'll be easy to not eat. Who knows. You have permission from your doc to eat that day, but ya, it will be very difficult to jump back on the wagon after. See how the day goes, and just do your best! My opinion, which is only my opinion remember, is that with your surgery coming up, that's all you should be dwelling on, focus on that, YOU, and worry about the relationship thing later. You have too much on your plate (no pun intended) right now to worry about it. Keep on truck'n, I'm glad your still on the road to the new and improved YOU!!!!!
  19. ............okay:phanvan
  20. Well, I still have the other sites under my favourite list, so I'll pop in from time to time. But probably won't post unless I can't help myself. So I went over the lapbanders to see this picture of this girl, but there are like 71 photos and I'm on #%@* dial up, sooooo, could you please tell me her name so I don't have to sit for an hour waiting for photo's to upload. Thanks:)
  21. I'm sorry to say that I think I have officially given up on the other websites. I've tried and tried, and I just think there too difficult.:cry .
  22. :whoo:Go, Go Yoda :whoo: . Thats actually fun to say. LOL
  23. Kim.......your making me nervous! Last time you post, you were worried about making the right decision or not. Now I havent seen you all day, are you okay?
  24. Well, I was gonna give heck yoda for using the "D" word, but hey it is Friday night.....knock yourself out! LOL
  25. Oh man, I just looove the way I get dragged into stuff around here, and I'm not even on line...lol. So, I did'nt pick up on that detail (exertion)thing at all. Completely over my head. I'm slipping. BTW...what the hell is sticking out of your mouth on your profile, mandi?
