  1. I had my evaulation I will get my results in the next 2 wks. The little consultation of how much you know about the Gastric Sleeve, the diets you done in the past and your support system, it was ok. Then came this stupid paper test. It was like I was back in school. I had several packets that were shade in the circles, types of tests, never did good with tests. It was math type questions and reading. I guess if your not smart, your not smart enough to follow the diet. Then did a personality type test, then a mental. The quiz, test whatever you want to call it. Let's call it a questionnaire, I don't know it took 2hrs. I felt like my brain was about to bust. I am not sure how I did.
  2. Let me know what you find out. I am the process of doing all their requirements. My doctor wrote a letter of all the diets I have been on. I hope it will be enough.
  3. The black suit and burgundy look great on you
  4. They all look awesome on you but I love how the black one looks on you.
  5. How long on the liquid diet? Keep motivated and think on postive things. Go buy a outfit in the size you want to be and before long you will fit that outfit.
  6. Awesome that you endured so long. Now the pay off is around the corner. How much did you lose in 13 months?
  7. I don't know I will have to ask them. I think it is just gastritis and they don't want it to make an ulcer. She just called and said it was a stomach infection. Thanks for prayers Frustr8!
  8. The surgeons nurse called today and gave me my results. I have a stomach infection and it will be treated with antibiotics. It has to clear up or I can't have surgery. Anyone have this issue with their stomach? In process have mental evaluation and nutrition class. Hopefully not classes. But now this is slowing me down. At least be healthy and they can go forth with my surgery. I was reading from taking arthrites meds and could be caused by radiation. They found a spot on my breast so every 6mths I was being exposed to radiation. Also since I was 38 I have been taking Arthrites meds and I am now 54. So hopefully the antibiotics will clear it all up.

Was thinking. I had the endoscopy and it showed some gastritis. Surgeon suggested to come of my arthritis meds. Now I am in so much pain, stiff and joints locking up. Now if I get the Gastric Sleeve I will have a smaller stomach so it maybe easy to damage by taking any arthrites meds. My arthrites could be real bad in July seeing an rheumatologist, then only solution is going be an inflammatory, which can't take. Should I just forget surgery and feel no pain and irritate stomach because need take arthrites meds. Not sure what is best for my health. I know if lose weight won't be as bad on my joints. Any ideals what to do? Does anyone have arthritis or do you autoimmune disease or both? Did you have surgery how are you doing?
  10. Thanks. That's helpful.
  11. For real. No quack please. You did get your surgery didn't you?
  12. That's sounds like good advice. Because I would go in and so I everything. Can't keep my big mouth shut.
  13. Regular therapy sounds like it to me. Thanks
  14. Kinda concerned about the psychological evaluation. I am diagnosed with Bipolar but don't have the highs and lows. I am afraid once he sees that he won't approve me. My provider for mental health said for me to not be disappointed if they say no. That makes me nervous, they act your crazy and can't make rash decisions. I am aware of the emotional aspect of depression after the surgery. I think I will be fine. Is there anything that you have learned from your evaulations that could prepare me?
  15. I think different insurance companies require different comorbites. Mine requires none if your over 40bmi but if your under you must be above 35bmi and at least 1 of the comorbites. I have high bp, overactive bladder, arthrites and high cholesterol and possibly autoimmune condition. So I hope that one of them will work. You can Google your insurance and bastric sugery and it should show which comorbites they are asking for as a requirement for your surgery. We got this, hang in there. Get as much info you can get then you will know what to expect and maybe even be a voice in the whole process.
  16. Do you have to do pre op diet? I pray that you will not have any of the conditions you have now and the surgery goes well.
  17. It's hard to make others understand but if we listen to others will be in the same spot next year. We just need a little help and the surgery is what we have chose to get healthy by. You'll do fine and later he'll be so proud how you took charge of taking care of you. I pray your surgery goes well with not much pain.
  18. That's alot of protein for water protein.
  19. I will be glad when I get this close. I wonder if I will have a pre op diet. Let me know how you do. Congratulations!
  20. I think you could go get a PCP. I have on been with mine for a few months and told her my past history. She had already took blood work and in seen me and seen my health conditions. In which she wrote all the diets I have done and that she suggests according to her findings that I have the Gastric Sleeve. If you I would at least try.
  21. I have only told my Daughter and Mom. My Mom is worried to death. She is like why you want to be skinny. That's not what I am looking for. I want to be healthy and to feel comfortable in my skin. My husband would have a cow. Not sure how I am going to do this when surgery time comes. It's hard to tell many people because they want to say do this diet or that. I have done them all that's for sure. They say you've always been example in losing weight before, I wish they would think of the times I've gain it back within months. I know even we sleeve you can gain it back I am hoping by the time I can eat more that I will have enough knowledge and the big one, the mental stability. I am afraid to have surgery but is just something I must do for me. It would just be nice if others understood and could give me support.
  22. Just getting started with the insurance process. I have accomplished endoscope, ultrasound and doctors approval, so next step is phyic evaluation. My first nurtionist class is the second week of June. So I will not have a surgery date till all the insurance information is sent over to the insurance company and they approve it
