total agree on the GAS X do not leave home without it.

You know I have not smoked pot in years,but my surgeon told me do not smoke before surgery and that my friends was it.It don't jive with the anesthesia.I am like ok doc but I don't smoke.

Hi I am new here too.I had my surgery in Mexico by a doctor this forum kicked from her first surgery LMFAO..You can't let what a few think stop you from getting what you want and need.From what I am hearing you say your band may have slipped and that is causing you pain and you want lose weight.Take a deep breath and relax a second.Maybe the kinda of work you do has been rough on your band or being to tight has caused a slip,or maybe it is just not working out for you,either way you need to see a doctor before you really hurt yourself.now if you want a Mexican sugery hey you got my vote I was treated very good in Mexico.Either way please see a doctor right away and get an x-ray,maybe even consider while you are having it removed get a sleeve done requires no fills and you will lose weight even if you don't exercise .Just remember its not reversible cost about the same as just having it removed and you want feel like you have totally pissed away all the money for nothing.Lapband is not for everyone that is why you go through all the questions and doctors before you can even get one.Anyway what ever you decide just please go see a doc soon :biggrin:

Hi thats great,I loved Pompa and the staff and if you need her you can email her or use the toll free number if you need those I can send them to you,but if you gonna return for fills you can ask her then.If you gonna get a doc state side may be best to ask him since he is gonna want you to work his plan

the thing to remember about protein drinks is they all basically have 20 grams of protein per scoop,so I say any brand is good just watch the carbs.I use the store brand at GNC comes in alot of flavors I love the chocolate carmel

Guys alot of that pain is Gas and I found Gas X a life saver and most docs agree its ok to take.

Yes I used Dr.Wizeman and will continue to use him,yes I like him.

well I am sure it is not the same for everybody,but I carry most of my weight in the midsection,with a tiny port so it took a long needle and a couple tries,the first was not really bad but second try it was still sore from the first failure and no local either.Maybe some docs numb it first I don't know.But I am not gonna tell you a fib it was painful,and he left the needle in the whole time while he was looking at the lapband,checking to make sure it was empty and then the fill then the swallow to see if it was to much or little or just right.Theen to make sure it was not any leaks.It is still sore now so I know I want be in a big rush for the next fill LMFAO.

Yes it was stitched down I suppose but now it is kinda leaning to the right,so it is down on that side.He thought at first it had flipped all the way but it didn't.Was just hard to hit because of my weight and the fact I got the small low profile port.So now he said I will have to do all my fills with x-ray.I know know most people prefer it that way but I am a self pay and $300.00 is alot of money and that is what I pay for fill with the use of x-ray verses $150.00 without.That is why I told him do not tease me with no .5 cc as I have seen doctors give patients.If I am gonna pay out the rear you better fill it up while I am here so he gave me 3cc's and warned me I was tight and be very careful,call if I have issues .

well then all you can do is wait,it will pass quickly and the fill day will come and go besides I had my first fill today and it hurt like hell but I have a small port my Doctor said and it is moving,I was crying when he told me but he tried again before he said I would need surgery to fix it.Thankfully he was able to get it the second time so I said filler up doc and he gave me 3cc's.I hope when your day comes it will be easier for you so just wait a little while longer it's gonna happen.

There is no Fill Center in South Florida,now if you want to travel to Tampa that would be closes that is why I had to find a Doctor to take me and I found a couple Wizeman being the cheapest.

Dr.Wizeman does fills for 150.00 if under x-ray 300.00 but most patients only need the x-ray for first fill he is in Pompano Beach

I was banded May7,2008 ,I went in for my 30 day post op checkup last Week and all was well so my doc scheduled me for a fill tomorrow because I ask for one.I have lost only 4 pounds since my stitches came out at week one but a total of about 19 pounds and I can eat almost any thing except bread and pasta.He dont normally give fills till 6 weeks either so call and ask what do you have to lose but a few more pounds or maybe a big fat NO.

well I did not know there was an age group here as I am new too,but I am glad to know you.I understand how exited you are awaiting your surgery date as I was the same way,scared but excited heck two days before my date I drove right by my job and didn't even know it till I went 3 blocks"who was driving the car?" I wasn't thats for sure LOL.Just hang tight will be over soon

well I used Gas X and man did it help,I was not sick but the gas and bloated feeling was more than I could bear .But Gas X helped me out.
