  1. I find I can eat a lot. I've had 3 fills so far in my Realize Band. Right now I seem to be hungry all the time. The doctor's office is so booked, it's hard to get an appointment for a fill. I'm scheduled for Jan. 20 for my next one. I'm trying to eat more protein hoping that will keep me fuller longer but so far it really isn't working.:tt2:
  2. My fill went great. I'm don't think I have enough restriction, but it's a start. I'm scheduled to go back in early December. I've been going to the YMCA and doing my power walk on the treadmill. I think that will help me more than just walking around the neighborhood. I'm going at least 4 times a week.
  3. I just had my first fill yesterday. I felt restriction right away and was told to stay on liquids for 24 hours, then mushies then back to normal foods. After my morning shake this a.m. I was feeling hungry again. I hope once I get back to regular foods, the restricted band will kick in.
  4. Hi, I'm going this coming Tuesday to the Dover office for my first fill. I can't wait. I have no restriction and am ready for some help. Dr. Iragu is doing my fill. I've never met him. What's he like??? When you go to their Dover office, you get which doctor who is scheduled for that day. It's so much closer for me. Last time, for my post of checkup, I saw Dr. Wynn and really liked her. What can I expect with my first fill? Thanks for your help.:smile2:
  5. My doctor said no swimming, baths (only showers) and sex for 4 weeks.:tongue:
  6. Well I had my 2 week post op with Dr.Wynn yesterday. It went very well. She told me I could move to the mushy stage and said I was healing very well. I have my appointment for my first fill in 3 weeks, election day! I feel really good. I've been going on a power walk every morning. Trying to go a little bit farther each day. I hope by moving to the mushy's it will help with my hunger.
  7. Thank you so much for this post. I was banded the 29th of September and wondered most of the things you posted. I'll forget and take a gulp of water and swallow and then wonder why I was able to do that. It's so good to know others are going through the same things as I am. :tt1:
  8. I agree. This sight has been so helpful since being banded last week. I finally decided to try tylenol pm caplets tonight to see if I can get some "good rest".:tt2:
  9. Well, I'm home from my surgery. I can't believe it. The pain is minimal but I'm really working at getting all my liquids in. It's such a wierd feeling to realize that after waiting all this time, I finally have the band. Dr. Peters was great and my stay at the hospital went really well. You sure can't sleep very much there. I forgot about the suger free popsicles. I'll have my dh pick some up. Thanks for the reminder.
  10. Hi Debbie, I live in Easton, MD but am having my surgery next Monday in Newark, DE at Christiana Hospital. I would be happy to talk with you any time.
  11. Great news. I'm so happy the band is working for you. It's important for us to remember that it is a tool, we still have to do the work. I finally get my band 9/29.
  12. Sorry to hear about your daughter. Hope you have your answers soon. I see Dr. Peters on Wed. for my pre op visit. I can't believe my surgery is almost here. The hospital called this a.m. to preregister me. It makes it seem so real now.
  13. Well, it's really official now. The hospital just called and preregistered me. Two weeks from today I'll be banded.
  14. Hi Joy, I order from that site also. I ordered her beginners kit that had the book and a whole variety of shakes to sample. I also ordered the lemon flavored chewable vitamins for lapband paitients. I love her site too.
  15. Austex, I hope things work out for you. Was there a reason you were switching doctors?
