  1. I love this thread. It is really great to hear from the bandsters 2 years plus. It gives us all hope.
  2. :pound: You could/should write a book. Both hilarious and informative...
  3. Damn it! I have been on a plateau, but it is time to go....so I am going to break it. I am vowing to drink more Water and up my Protein. I also joined a gym and am exercising 5 times a week for the first time in YEARS. Are you on a plateau? What are you going to do about it?
  4. Gone, came back now, hated it, but glad I went. lol! Now, I am going to count to see if I have been 21 times..... WISH MY GYM HAD A POOL. But we have one in our back yard, so when that gets up and running, I will really have fun.
  5. Good for you for going forward. I hope you love it as I think I do sometimes, maybe, I think I might.....:guess In fact, I have my Lululemon pants on right this very minute and heading out the door to my 8:30 personal fitness trainer....yikes....
  6. I hope you don't have a slip my dear. Significant difference between 2 adn .2, I hope that is all it is.....
  7. Well, I'd sure recommend Good Life Fitness Club for women's only. It is AWESOME!
  8. I hate gym, I think gyms suck, I hate exercise, but I know it is a must if we want permanent changes in our weight. I love Oprah, I love that she hates it too, she says she hated it, still hates it but does it because it makes her feel better afterward. So now after YEARS of thinking of joining a gym. I joined a brand new women's only. I hired a personal trainer for 12 sessions and I am so glad I did. I still hate the gym, but, it is a necessary evil. I can now feel the endorphins. I feel whole and strong after I go, I feel like working harder on what I eat and now I am actually LOOKING for ways to add extra fitness into my day, like going on bike rides with my kids etc. So I say GO, GIRL GO! The thing that really sent me to the gym was something Bob Greene said on Oprah one day. He said loosly quoted. "...if you are not willing to do the work, (exercise), then you are not ready to lose weight..." That shocked me into joining a gym. And my own walking in my neighbourhood was not enough to make bodily changes. I still walk around my neighbourhood, but on the days I don't go to the gym. dumb as it is.... Go to the Exercise sections and read some threads there. Now GO!
  9. Ya, what are you worried about? We have this band for a lifetime. There will be a period of YEARS where we don't get fills, I hope....so go and continue this lifetime journey of healthy weight loss. hugs....
  10. Back fat be gone! Congratulations Eddie. I look forward to no backward rolls. Now go buy a smaller top.
  11. Sorry, but that made me laugh REALLY LOUD. I feel your pain. I buy liquid Vitamins from costco and I am no wimp, but this stuff tastes like LIQUID ROTTEN FISH. I just about gag at every swallow. But it is a necessary evil and I'll stop laughing now and give you a hug. ((())) And congrats on your surgery.
  12. So exciting, it must be such a relief and a literal weight off your back. It must also be expensive. ha! But that is the fun part and you so earned it. Congratulations. How about an at goal picture with your new clothes on? So now what eddie? Is your fill where you want it to be?
  13. I can NOT average 2 pounds a week. If I calculate it, I average 1.7 and it goes down as each week goes by. BUT even those numbers don't really represent an accurate average as I lost 30 pounds in the first 40 days or so. I have been a slow loser since. The thing that keeps me positive is that this weight AIN'T coming back on as it has countless times before. So I am proud of my average and if it continues, I should be at goal in no time at all really. Time goes by anyway...........
  14. If it weren't for my lapband, I'd be actively gaining the weight I just lost. I could lose the weight, just couldn't keep it off for any length of time. My band will help me keep off what I worked so hard to lose.
  15. OK, you guyz are right, I will also focus on upping my protein. Thanks.....
  16. Funny, I am at 2.5cc. I am the very same. STUCK at 62 pounds. I do have an eating problem, I think about food all the time, I plan what I can eat next. Recently I had to take a good hard look at what I AM eating. I put it all in on fitday.com and couldn't believe the innocent calories I was taking in. I slipped into the habit of eating the 'easy' foods. I AM exercising my ass off this month, joined a gym, hired a personal trainer and I'm enjoying it, but I still seem to be stuck. So I appreciate knowing that 60-70 is a 'stuck' place to be, so I have just booked a fill for Monday, I am going to recommit to eating healthfully and watch the next 10 pounds come off come hell or high water...... Good luck to you. This isn't always easy is it?
  17. Booked a fill for Monday, I am very excited. I guess I am just one of the unfortunate few who loosen up quickly or have a slow leak. but I am hoping for about 2.8cc total for Monday morning, then let the weight loss begin.
  18. How wonderful is that! Congratulations! You must have worked very hard for your loss and you are a real inspiration. :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2:
  19. Donna Marie, I wonder how you are suspose to bring up your Iron. I too am low on iron, but am afraid to get my iron pill stuck AGAIN. Ew. That was gross. I will try to find out if there is a liquid iron, or Multivitamin that has a good iron count. Anyway, AWESOME weight loss. I am totally jealous. I am stuck at 218. I am taking the kids to Disneyland in the middle of April, so I will book a fill when I get back. Didn't want to be too tight for the flight or Disneyland for that matter, not that I plan to pig out, but would like to be able to have my tiny meals. I will take some Atkin's Bars for lunches, but will be eating out dinner, which I don't like doing. I guess I can order Soup or an appetizer. Anyway, just keeping up my journal.
  20. I agree the Con is that I can't eat what I want to...but it passes Pro, I KNOW I'd still be 280 had I not had this done. I no longer have to hate my inability to lose and keep it off.
  21. My favorite size 18 pants are almost literally falling down....yeaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!! They only fit when right out of the dryer, then they just look baggy and bad....so a few more pounds and they gotta go. Spring is coming, so must find some nice new capris.
  22. This was my first venture over to Rants and Raves. I am so glad because Wheetsin, that was the biggest laugh I have had all year, thank you. You are a witty writer, that was F U N N Y!!!! And hey, someone's German Shepard may be smarter than my honour roll student, but can he play the violin?....:guess
  23. If you really want to get rid of the craving, in my experience, you have to come clean for at least 3 days. After that, the craving is gone for most. Also I read that even fake sugars can trigger a craving. Good luck, I am also an addict and fight it daily.
  24. Well that is good to note, for people who are thinking of going South or East for the surgery.
  25. Isn't he the greatest?:clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: That ws almost record fast, good for you?
