    Had VSG outpatient with Dr Borland in New Iberia,LA. Did surgery on a Monday late morning, discharged to a local hotel Monday afternoon. Dr Borland made hotel visits on Monday and Tuesday evenings around 6pm to check on me. If all is well head home on Wednesday morning. Sleeve was about a month ago with no issues, especially as my situation was compounded by a torn ACL about 2 months before surgery.
    Not staying in the hospital greatly reduces the cost for self-pay patients.
