It may be a wording thing. Sic your bariatric office team on him. The way my pulmonary worded it was 'I don't give clearance. What I do is tell them that you don't have any issues that would put you at a greater risk in surgery than someone else'. Plus, the guy just sounds like a jerk.

Today marks one week since my gastric bypass. It has been a rough start, but I’m feeling and getting better everyday. I make sure I’m walking at least 30 minutes every day. I am still struggling with hunger. But I assume —it is my hope— that the hunger goes away. I have 12 days until my first follow-up appointment. At that point, I hope the doctor will move me to the next level.
I’ve dropped 10 pounds since surgery day. It’s a struggle, but I’m taking it one day at a time.

I have to put mine back on. I think I’m ep922nj in there.

Good news! I finally got approved after 3 appeals. I have the surgery this Wednesday. Thank you everyone for the support. It was much help when I was a mess trying to get my appeal approved.

You did it for yourself and you are worth it.

Believe me, it's worth the pain and nausea for a couple of days to extend your life and lost that weight.

You have extended your life. The post surgery stuff will pass. Mine was April 1st and every day I feel better and stronger. I stayed an extra day and then was readmitted. Keep your chin up.

What you did to yourself was start to free yourself from the bondage of excess weight. What you did is give yourself a gift!

I'm so excited!
I'm about 12 weeks post-op gastric sleeve and I was worried about my pre-planned two week cruise and how I would manage to eat and stay on the right track. I was so good! I didn't eat a single dessert or pasta or pizza. I had a cheese omelette every morning for breakfast, salmon for dinner every night and various things for lunch but all making good choices.
I just got back late last night and weighed this morning and I lost 2.5 pounds during my two-week cruise! Hooray! I exercised in the pool every morning and did lots of walking and stayed hydrated.
I'm just so excited that I made good choices around all that ton of food on the cruise ship and still ended up losing weight! Hooray! Yippee!

I gave the coordinator his name and phone number and she said she would call them. Maybe she'll have better luck with him then I did. The wording could have been off but he seemed very adamant that he does not do that. I just wish he could've said something from the begining.

SAME! It’s now April 11th. The closer it gets the more nervous I am. I’m excited but ready!

April 11th. I'm starting a new job exactly two weeks after surgery, hopefully I'll be ready to roll by then!

I am on day 2 of my liquid diet. Yesterday was ok until the evening came. I felt really bad, but I realized that my calories were pretty low. However, I lost 3 lbs! But I am going to do better today calorie wise.
