  3. I've heard the first week or so is super hard. I really believe you can do this! Hold on, and stay in there! From what people have said it's going to be worth it in the long run. I havent have wls yet, I'm due in may....but I've had 6 ankle surgeries from a break when I was 10...still have issues with it. I get the no sleep, on top of the wrenching pains. I hope it gets better for you! Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app

  6. People talk about having no appetite after surgery, so the diet is easier. How are some ways you guys combat emotional eating? This is one thing I worry about. So far I've been doing really well, I'll go draw, or take a walk. I've lost 50lbs since october 2018, and I'm now sitting at 310lbs. I'm doing well, in my eyes, but I would still like to know more ways I can combat this problem. Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app

  8. I can see your point of view summer set. I have told a few close people I am having WLS just because I need support. I'm sure once I gain more confidence I will tell more people if they ask me, and i trust them, as my weight issues started when I was 2, and I'm now 21. People will surely notice. I guess I just need to build my confidence, and learn that in a way, telling I can try to break so negative stigma, by explaining that it's a tool, and how hard you have to work. For now, I'd rather keep it a secret, as I'm scared I will fail, like every other time. I have hope. I just need to believe in myself more....but as FluffyChix said...to each their own. 10. Thank you for your kind words!!! I am confident I can handle the changes, I'm mainly scared of the procedure its self. My last surgery in August had major complications, I almost died and had to stay in the hospital, for what was supose to be an outpatient op. I found out in october of 2018 my thyroid was bad, and got on meds, have since with help of my bariatric team have lost 50lbs. I'm at 310lbs now. I guess I'm just having a little PTSD. 14. I posted in the VSG surgery group, but thought I'd post here too. I am looking at a surgery date in May...very super scared. I've had 8 surgeries, I'm 21, but this one is the most nerve racking one yet. What should I expect? What should I bring with me? Any tips, help, support, and love are greatly appreciated.
  15. I am looking at having VSG surgery in May of this year. I'm really nervous, and not really sure what to expect. I've have 8 surgeries in my life, I'm 21, so I'm not scared of surgery, just of this particular procedure. I'd appreciate any tips, advice, support, and help.
