Hi @Bastian.thx for checking in.....I've been faithful on the diet....I think I'm getting more nervous now. There was an all day pre-surgery meeting for my program that I brought my husband to. He even said, it's okay if you want to cancel. I am just nervous now, not at the actual surgery part...but all of the mindfulness that will come after..... I hope I choose the right procedure...I initally wanted sleeve now I'm getting bypass which involves so many more vitamins. I hope I can be diligent enough to stay healthy.

Going okay. My surgery is oct 1 so i've kicked it in high gear....starting to get really nervous now and the fact I've lost 20 lbs wondering why I'm even getting the surgery? Just having some doubts....

@Msbosse I started the liquid diet last Wednesday and messed up the first day by choosing a yogurt with too much carbs. Got back on it. My other mess up but it was sort of planned was last Friday was hubbys birthday. we went out to eat. I did have a 4 oz steak and a side salad. It was a little more than the 1 cup of veggies and 4 oz of lean meat my pre-op diet allows. Yesterday I had a handful of nuts. Tomorrow is officially one week before surgery going to really work to not have one slip up. I'm more upset is that I still have this cough that won't go away even after medicine. I have bronchitis and doctors won't give me antibiotics which I know will help and have prescribed me prednisone which has made me feel better but still coughing up junk.

I'm still figuring it out.. like the wonderslim ones...basically a cheaper version of medifast. bariatric pal has them too. They get branded several ways and are all made by the Rolbard corporation If you find a box that comes with 7 shake packets and it's a pudding and/or a shake you know you have the right ones. Love them. you can spend anywhere between $11 for the box I've seen it for $18. for just 7 shakes but they are good and can be mixed with water. Add a scoop of unflavored GenePro powder then well on the way to hitting 60 gram protein goal.

@Cherylmilla It probably can't hurt to have mcdonalds, lol. Just get it out of your system. For the past two weeks I've done the liver shrinking diet the surgeon gave me. It does allow for 1 cup of veggies and 4 oz of lean meat. Doing powdered shakes the rest of the time. I I had to have taco bell a few weeks ago and that was when I thought I was denied. I started eating wtf i wanted but last Tuesday I got the go ahead and now sticking to the two week pre-op.

Thanks.....extra nervous as I’ve come so far.......

Just want some peeps opinion. I have been through hell and back to get this surgery. went through my doctors entire program only to be told by Aetna last month I'm denied. I had lost 15 lbs following the drs program but but that stressed me out and I started eating bad...not so bad just normal and I allowed myself sugar and carbs. As of the 17th I had gained 6 lbs back. Well i did get approval finally after appeal and Tuesday (two days ago) I called and asked for an idea of the surgery date. They said I could do it Tuesday, Oct 1. yahoo, but then OMG! Well Tuesday night they e-mail that I have to start the pre-op diet immediately. So yesterday (Wednesday) I got up and just had coffee for breakfast. A protein shake for lunch. But I messed up with dinner and ate a yogurt with some fat in it. It was publix low fat greek but I realized it had 5 grams of fat and 35 carb. It wasn't low carb as my doctors office said. . Today I've been extra good and will be until my surgery but last week I was not eating on a good diet. Do you think 12 days is good enough time o shrink my liver. I don't want them to have to open me up and not do it laproscopically.

uh oh...surgery on october 1st and the past two days I have felt I'm coming down with bronchitis..you know that familiar feeling and and started hacking up phlegm. ? Going to try to see my pcp tomorrow to get some meds because don't want to be under anesthesia and get some sort of coughing fit or not be able to breathe. ARGH
