Hang in there. I, too, had my gastric sleeve on 1/9. I had to do two weeks clear liquid and two seeks fully liquid. Not sure there is really that much of a difference between the two. Here is what I do every day. I drink 8-10 ounces of water when I wake up. I then take a four cup measuring cup and pour in 3 cups of Fairlife Skim Milk and pour in a Pure Protein (I rotate chocolate and vanilla). I then drink about about 16 ounces over the course of two hours for breakfast and then the rest of it over the course of two hours for lunch or dinner (whatever is most convenient given what I am doing that day). Then I also make some Campbells soup, drain the broth, and drink that for my other meal. Lastly, I have another 8-10 ounces of water (or maybe tomato juice) before bed. DONE! 60+ grams of protein and 64+ ounces of fluids. Are you getting enough protein and fluids in every day??? If not, maybe this contributes to the hunger??? Obviously no expert here - just sharing what has worked for me so far. I realize tomorrow that may all go out the window.

I had my surgery on Jan 9th too! My doctor put me on two weeks of clear liquids which included milk. This has been key for me...I take a four cup measuring cup and pour in three cups of FairLife skim milk (13 grams per serving) and mix that with one bottle of chocolate (or vanilla) Pure Protein drink (30 grams per serving). This equates to 69 grams of protein and 35 ounces of liquid. I pour some in a glass and drink one in the morning and one in the afternoon and finish the little bit that is left later in the day. It is like drinking chocolate milk around the clock! I am getting in my 60+ grams of protein a day and taking in a decent amount of liquids as well. Maybe this will be something you can do to mix up the liquids that you are currently taking in.

My doctor put me on two weeks of clear liquids which I am wrapping up today. I have lost 17 pounds in those two weeks. I am shocked but happy. Tomorrow, I start full liquids. I have been worrying about that move because while I am excited to eat something different, I don't really want to deviate from my current path because I don't want to go back to old habits - eating just to eat or because I want food - not that I need it or am hungry for it. I have been reading about people not being succesful or gaining weight. I don't understand fully how this happens. If your stomach is smaller, how can someone eat beyond what they are supposed to eat?? So, last night, I had a dream that I was able eat just like I used to. I felt that I was a fool for having the surgery thinking of course I lost 17 pounds in two weeks I am only drinking and barely taking in any calories...when I can eat again I am in trouble and this won't work. Someone please tell me how somenoe gains weight after having the sleeve. I want to make sure that I don't do that.

I walked into the doctor's office and he said "what would you like to do?" I said "the band." He said "no, we aren't doing that. I take as many of those things out as I put in. You can go with the gastric sleeve." Me: "alrighty then!" I had the sleeve on 1/9 (just four days ago). I felt a huge regret immediately after but as I start to feel better and have lost 9 pounds in those four days, I am good so far with my decision.

Hey all you set to have your surgery in January. I had mine done on 01/09. Would love to hear from anyone on how they are doing within the first week or so of surgery. I feel like I am pregnant. So bloated. Ug. Hoping it goes down sooner rather than later. Started weight at 230 (5'6") and am down 9 pounds in four days. Wow! So excited. Certainly no one can tell because my stomach is like a balloon!

Night gown! So nice not to have pajama bottoms rubbing against incisions. Fairfree milk has 13g of protein. Skim. Lactose free. I mix two cups of this with one vanilla Pure Protein (30g of protein) which equates to 56g of protein in total.
