  1. I have a comment on how much food you can eat at a time...When I was banded 6/5/08 I would get that full feeling on 1/4 cup food...then 1/2 cup...now 1 cup or 2 even & I'm getting hungry sooner. I had 1 fill & have a 10ml band with 5.75mls in right now. Next fill isn't until 8/15. I'm down 42 lbs since 4 wk liq diet pre-op (which is really great), but I haven't lost any weight in 2 weeks...it's frustrating.
  2. Hi Lauren, I'm new at this as well, I had my band put in June 5th, I'm concerned I'm eating wrong but that's a different story...I have a good friend that had her 2nd fill this morning, the DR put in 1cc of saline & had to take it back out because she couldn't swallow the cup of water he gave her...So she has had only 1 sucessful fill, she said she has 6cc of saline in her band now. Can I just ask you about what you were eating 2 weeks after your surgery? I thought I could eat pureed foods but the more I read I think I'm supposed to be having just liquid. Oh boy I hope I didn't mess up my pouch :-( Started liquid diet pre-op 5/10 lost 23 lbs. 2 weeks after surgery now and total weight loss is 32lbs. I'm happy with that...
  3. Post Operation Port problems? I had my band put in on June 5th & everything went great but 9 days after my surgery the area where my port is has been really hurting...anyone have similar issues with the healing process?
  4. Brand1lenee, hope your surgery goes well...I'm the day after. Can't wait!
  5. Hey, how did your surgery go?
  6. :smile2:I hope your surgery goes really well on Thursday...do you have to stay in the hospital or come home the same day? On June 5th my band is scheduled for 3pm so I will have to stay over I guess...that's fine with me..a little R&R.
  7. :tt2:My Doctor has me on a 4 week Medifast ONLY diet! No sugar free Jello or popsicles...No GUM or sugarfree breath mints...(I keep my breath fresh with Listerine Strips.) The first week was the hardest for me, I'm on day 12 right now of the Medifast Diet and have lost 16 lbs!! I can't believe I have the willpower to do this..If it werent for my upcoming surgery (June 5th) I would never have been able to do it. I am required to loose 10% of my weight which is 23 lbs...I think I can do it.
  8. Oh I get to drink 2 teaspoons of olive oil/day to keep my gallbladder from shutting down. YUCK
  9. 48 hours on Medifast diet to get ready for my surgery on June 5th. I am so hungy I want beef broth or something...My doctor has me on 4 weeks medifast, no gum, or candy, of course no food of any kind, only medifast shakes, coffee (can have a little skimmed milk in coffee) tea and WATER. I feel tired, weak, and I have 3 wks, 5 days left to go...surgery 6/5...did anyone have it this strict and did anyone cheat?
