  1. I snuck a bit of diet coke last night. We moved yesterday and I had 18,000 steps in I was so drained from jt and limited food. And of course, no weight loss this am. because I ate this way before, I am barely losing on this preop diet
  2. I also quit coffee. It's been 7 days. I am sober from alcohol 13 months. Quit smoking 1 year ago and now coffee. Coffee has been the hardest! No caffiene or coffee in 7 days...I really wanted one today.
  3. Well ****, I'll just mash stuff up because my daughter is starting solids soon so we will both be on puree!
  4. Congrats! Mine is Jan 7th. I've been officially on diet since Christmas eve, but truthfully I'm always under 40 grams of carbs for past year so technically been on it the whole time. My preop is just stay under 40 grams. Liquid diet 24 hours the day before.
  5. I'm trying to find vitamins bariatric formula that are non synthetic and have methylfolate instead of folic acid and same for the other b vitamins???? Any solutions?
  6. The wings were fine not the pizza.
  7. Hi all! Everyone is doing amazing and I come for some comparison answers. I know were all different, but I'd like to hear from you! At consult my BMI was 41.3 now its 38.9. I weigh 211 as of today and am beginning the preop diet. Anyone with similar starting stats that can tell me how far out you are, what you've lost? 5'2 211lbs
  8. Ok, my diet is First 2 day: clear liquids including sf jello and popsicles and tea Day 2-9 protein drinks, yogurts, cream soups, sf pudding Day 10-16 pureed foods, applesauce consistency Day 17-30 soft mushy foods like ground meat, tuna, cottage cheese, scrambled eggs
  9. What pain meds were you given? I just had my preop and was given diladid...seems like overkill and honestly like whoa!
  10. I think the hardest stage for me will be the pureed food stage. Gross. I'm hoping roast mashed up in blender wont be too terrible. Lmao. Btw what's yours starting weight? My consult BMI and weight was :41.6, 226lbs Current is 38.9, 211
  11. I'll look and add it tomorrow am yes I have to stay under 20 carbs a day or I gain magainely fast even while breastfeeding.
  12. I barely looked at it yet that far out lol. I think week two I can start having soft foods like scrambled eggs and such. I've already been eating better than the preop diet since July when I gave birth:)
  13. What's on your list? I already had me preop apt today! And got my rx!
  14. we have 4 kids and the older ones have watched me eat so healthy and not lose ots hard to explain to them to eat healthy when they see me eat healthy and km still fat
  15. Exciting and congrats! I feel so prepared and not scared at all. It's so weird haha
  16. hello fellow wls patients! I am so excited, finally after 3 months of denials and trials, I am approved! My surgery is set for January 7th, 2019. Darn insurance really just wanted me to pay the deductible and out of pocket maximum again I know it! I'm very excited and not nervous at all. One thing that makes my situation different than some, is I am breastfeeding! Shes now 5 months old and about to start some solids next month. Although, mamas milk is number 1 nutrition. My surgeon, lactation support person and babies pediatric dr are all supportive. The main thing for me is fluids, fluids, fluids! My milk never fluctuates even at 500 calories, I eat a lot of protein and healthy fat. I cant wait for this. I live such a restrictive life with food as it is with hardly any success of weight loss. I only gained 6lbs while pregnant and have now lost 25lbs...in 5 months with breastfeeding, eating under 20 carbs a day. I'm glad I've stuck with it though as it will be helpful after surgery. anyway, sorry for rambling. I'm so excited!
