lala75 reacted to GradyCat in Unexpected Post Op ObservationsYes, we call these NSV's - Non-Scale Victories. Mine include necklaces fitting around my neck that didn't fit before, my watch isn't cutting off my circulation, and I can see my toes!

lala75 reacted to AZhiker in Unexpected Post Op ObservationsHa! I was hanging out my hummingbird feeders today and have to lean way over the deck railing to get them on the hooks. Has always been so hard to reach the hook. But today - no problem - just leaned over and hung them up! No big belly in the way! I also found myself squeezing my belly to get past a tight spot in the grocery store yesterday. It wasn't necessary - just a habit, because I was able to slip right through. The down side...… I lost my "shelf" for drinks while sitting in the recliner.

lala75 reacted to Avery's Mom in Unexpected Post Op Observationsoh my gosh ya'll are too cute.
for me clothes are longer cause the boobs and belly are smaller. I can see my feet, I had to order smaller band for my fitibit, and new running shoes. and new bra and panties since mine kept creeping down under my bootie when I walked

lala75 got a reaction from Avery's Mom in Unexpected Post Op ObservationsI'm a month and a half post op and have lost 45 lbs so far (since starting pre op diet). I've noticed a few unexpected things... All my clothes are longer, my eye glasses are loose now and my necklaces hang lower ? Has anyone else noticed this or any other unexpected results?

lala75 reacted to notmyname in Unexpected Post Op ObservationsI remembered another one - I have a shoulder bag that never really fit over my shoulder. Now it does
-
lala75 reacted to ummyasmin in Unexpected Post Op ObservationsOoooh yeah, I know what you mean about clothes being longer. I couldn't understand why my pants suddenly dropped an inch, then I realised!

lala75 reacted to KT1981 in Unexpected Post Op ObservationsAll kinds of NSVs over here! Loose glasses, loose rings, my work badge hangs lower, my shoes are looser. So many!

lala75 reacted to Frustr8 in Unexpected Post Op ObservationsPulled out a pair of sweatpants today, I thought would go with my top, they were LOOSE, had to cinch up the string in them. Okay I even have to admit IAM GETTING SMALLER! Hooray for the Home Team. I may be still the size of the tackling dummy but my inner Cheerleader may just burst forth! -

lala75 reacted to notmyname in Unexpected Post Op Observationsre: rings, I highly recommend these spiral ring sizers until you reach your ultimate size. That way you can wear the rings and not get them resized until the end.

my glasses are also too big (I've had to start wearing my spare pair, which are tighter), and my pants too long. My wrinkles are definitely starting to show now that my face skin isn't as tight. My cross-body purse hangs lower on my body. The seatbelt in my car no longer scratches the bottom of my neck - it sits lower where it is supposed to. And a ton of other things.

lala75 reacted to Healthy_life in Unexpected Post Op ObservationsI found a cubic zirconia ring to wear while in weight loss mode. I waited until I got to my goal weight to resize my set.
-
lala75 reacted to Healthy_life in Unexpected Post Op ObservationsLove it! Congrats op post op and your weight loss.
Funny the things we notice with weight loss. My shoe size went down. I had to get my wedding rings resized.

lala75 got a reaction from ABawdyMermaid in 1 Week Post Op...I know! Everyone, including my care team, kept telling me that I was fine and probably just constipated ??I'm glad I trusted my gut (literally!) and went in. They have me on strong blood thinners and I seem to be improving now. It could have been a lot worse if I had waited going in.

lala75 got a reaction from ABawdyMermaid in 1 Week Post Op...I felt pretty ok the first few days but the last couple days I've been waking up feeling super cruddy... Absolutely no energy, headachey and a little nauseous. I'm supposed to be walking every day but every time I stand up I feel like I'm going to pass out. I've been drinking 48-60 oz of water and getting about 55 grams of protein a day. At this point I may be regretting my decision to have the surgery. I didn't know I would feel this bad. Is this normal? Any advice?

lala75 reacted to Frustr8 in 1 Week Post Op...OMG I am so glad you got that taken care off Often we say on here " Give it time, you'll be better soon" , but I am glad YOU knew YOU better and had it checked out! -
lala75 reacted to Frustr8 in 1 Week Post Op...Maybe, just maybe, you are starting to burn off your fat reserves. It is called ketosis and can be a? bear to go through. -
lala75 reacted to irish_sleever in 1 Week Post Op...I feel like that most mornings but i try do a 500ml (16oz) fluid bolus as soon as i wake up and after about an hour i feel fine. Anytime i feel woozy or nauseous ive found its almost always because i was down on fluids or my body needed a bit more. Try it out and see it it helps you. If not then reassess check your diet make sure your getting in all your nutrients and protein and when you feel up to it definitely exercise will speed up the recovery phase. Im three weeks out myself and thats what ive found helps me. Hope it helps you

lala75 reacted to Frustr8 in 1 Week Post Op...Yep, a lot of people complain about breath/ taste in ? mouth. Mine is even weirder, although I did find someone else. Armpit odor, like rotten onions decomposing, nobody around me has complained, maybe because I keep my arms down, no flailing around like a cheerleader?but while I was the old rotund Frustr8, put my antiperspirant on in the morning and was fine all day. Not so now!
