Special item? Surgery token?
One of my goals is to run a marathon and get a tattoo that symbolizes both my weight loss and finishing a marathon. I want a Ariel tattoo in human form wearing running clothes with a race bid with the number of pounds I’ve lost.

Protein drink
This is my go to protein: https://m.idealfit.com/sports-nutrition/ideallean-protein-mint-chocolate/11367322.html It tastes great and not grainy at all and it doesn’t have aspartame or stevia. 1 scoop has 100 calories 3grams of crabs and 20 grams of protein.

Spouse support
My husband is very supportive of me having surgery. He has always asked about my appointments and what the next steps going forward. My surgery is March 29th and he is more nervous than I am.

Muscle cramps
Something I do to help when the muscle cramps hit is to take a couple of anti acids like Tums. The tums take the cramps quicker than if I just let them stop on their own. My old boss who is a nurse told me about this trick.

Whats short of time frame
I start my 3 month diet oct 11th, finished with the dietitian Jan 15th. My consultation with the surgeon was Jan 17th and waited 3 weeks for insurance approval. My surgery is scheduled for March 29th. So about a little more than 5 months I will have waited.

Nervous
Being nervous is normal. I remember being nervous to go to the first informational class but once I was there I relaxed and learned so much. I am scheduled for surgery on the 29th of this mont and wish I could have do this years ago.

Weight gain during 6 month pre-op period
Thanks! I just verified that my insurance doesn’t have a minimum loss over the 6 months (whew!) but I need to have lost some weight. I wish I only had to deal with this for 3 months that would have been awesome! You can do it! These last few months will fly by.

Weight gain during 6 month pre-op period
I only had a 3 month diet and I actually gained weight 2 of the 3 months. At my last appointment I lost what I gained but it was still over my starting weight. My insurance still approved my surgery even with the weight gain.

March 27th surgery date
I choose it because my surgeon thinks it the best option for people who have a BMI over 50. I weigh 370 and at 5’7” my BMI is 59. I’ve also done a lot of research and it’s the surgery that has the highest long term success rate. I agree that it is a good combo of the sleeve and bypass.
