  1. I’m glad to hear that the drinking improves! Have fun at the wedding! Be mindful of your food and make sure you have what you need with you.
  2. Lucky you! I just said to my husband I wish I could take a good sip of water! I’m sure I’ll get there! Everyone’s body is different!
  3. Hi katiemarie22. I’m feeling it difficult to get all my fluids in too. I’m trying not to stress about it. I’ll get there. I just had a popsicle and it quenched my thirst. The little sips of liquid hurt a little when going down and make me burp a lot. Best of luck in your recovery!
  4. Hi reandrar1. That’s so exciting! I just had my surgery on Tuesday. Doing ok. Not to much pain. Good luck to you!
  5. Hi! My surgery was 10/16 had a rough time with the anesthesia. Keeper dry heaving. Couldn’t keep anything down. Yesterday went much better and I was able to leave the hospital. Today I’ve been resting. Went for a few walks. Not to much pain just a lot of gas and burping when I drink. I’m trying to get in the protein drink and water but I’m not stressing about it. I don’t have to much pain at all. Just feel a little sore. Best of luck in your recovery!
  6. Mine was Tuesday. I feel a little sore but not to bad!
  7. Thanks for checking in! Waiting to be discharged now. I had a rough time with the anesthesia and couldn’t keep anything down but it was better today. I had to be able to drink 60 cc of protein shake and 60 cc of water for 6 hours. Now I’m headed home! Yay
  8. I was able to eat up until today when I started a clear liquid diet. My surgery is tomorrow. I’ve been on a liver shrinking diet for two weeks so I’ve been eating lightly anyway. Today I had to do a colon cleanse, oh so pleasant. Do you have to do that?
  9. Hi jujusmommy07. I am having my surgery tomorrow but I have an iud too and just started spotting too! I’m not sure if it’s because of the diet I’ve been following or just random. Maybe call your gyn?
  10. I’m going in tomorrow! Good luck!
  11. Hi grapefruit. My surgery is 10/16. Can’t wait either! Good luck to you!
  12. It’s hard to do this without support! Have you tried a support group? I found them helpful to talk to others who are going through the process. I’m having my surgery Tuesday but I’m here if you need support!
  13. Ugh I’m so sorry! That’s the last thing you need. Try to put it out of your head and know you’re doing this for you and you only! Besides, if this was easy we all would’ve done it years ago!
  14. I have an 11 year old and I was going to tell him I was having a simple procedure on my stomach. I’m hoping that he doesn’t get to anxious. He’ll be busy with school and friends so I think that will help. Not a bad idea to have your daughter sleep over at your sisters. That’ll take her mind off of it to do something fun! Good luck!
  15. Thanks for the suggestions. I was thinking about making black bean soup when I get to that stage. I’m going in Tuesday for my sleeve!
  16. Good luck! I’m going Tuesday! I have to do liquids on Monday only but I’ve been on the liver shrinking diet for almost two weeks. I’m down 12 pounds too!
  17. I’m going in on Tuesday! Good luck to you!
  18. You can do it! You’ve come this far. Only a few more days!
  19. Fingers crossed you get to go home today! Thanks for your suggestions and good luck!
  20. Wow that sounds great! Good luck!
  21. CrankyMagpie, I’m sorry for your loss. Take care of yourself and your family!
