  1. Gabybab. Yes. Nutritionist said prior to surgery that the first 4 days should be clear protein. However the hospital had me on protein shakes. Sugar free popsicles and fudgicles
  2. Lynn. I still feel tired. I did get out today for a while. I am getting 60 grams or more of protein and 62 ounces of fluids. Each day I get better
  3. Advice to those having surgery this week. Don’t rush to get on and post the first day of surgery. Sleep the say away. We will be here the next day
  4. Question. I have tried chicken bone broth and did not care for it. I am in my first two weeks. Could I strain chicken noodle soup and strain the noodles and chicken from it

  6. Has anyone noticed after being a week post op that one your appetite comes back. Not saying it is a bad thing. It just seems that my wife made pancakes for our kids and it smelled really good. It seems once you deprive your senses for a while, it comes back more sensitive
  7. I make sure to take a gas-x. I take one tablet each evening and this keeps me regulated. Since I started taking it, I am able to intake more protein shakes and more liquid each day.

  10. I have been having premier protein chocolate 30 grams of protein each day. Decaff coffee and sugar free fudgicles
  11. They had me on chocolate and strawberry protein shakes at the hospital
  12. Has anyone ever cheated on post op diet. I am getting appetite back slowly.
  13. Gaby. You will do just fine. When you get there things happen quickly so it will be over before you know it
  14. If you want to drop weight quickly, I would recommend going no dairy, no sugar, no fruit, no carbs. You can eat cheese and eggs and dressing on salads. You can have as much non starch veggies as you want. I lost 18 pounds in less than 2 weeks
  15. It gets better each day. It is a weird feeling with a different size stomach. Be patient
  16. High wt 339 on February 4th. Surgery weight February 18th 321, 2-22 weight is 314
  17. To everyone who has not had surgery. Good luck. It seems as if everyday I am getting a little better. I just had to temper my expectations. Their goal for me was 32 ounces of fluid and 30 grams of protein. Yesterday it took me the whole day, and by 4:30 I have met the goal. It is truly a different experience getting used to your pouch.
  18. I am 3 days post op. How is my stomach supposed to feel? I am trying to drink one premier protein drink a day which is 30 grams of protein. I am trying to sip it sitting up or reclining.
  19. 1st post here. Surgery scheduled for Friday 02/22. I'm excited and scared at the same time. I'm binge reading the posts here before my big day!! You will do fine. Just do not go in there with any expectations. Don’t expect to recover instantly.
  20. Surgery was 2 days ago. I am feeling stuffed. Not to gassy. The goal they put me on was 30 grams of protein and 32 ounces of liquid. I am trying to take 2 ounces every 15-30 min of protein. i did sleep in bed last night. Mainly had to sleep on back. What other experiences are people have 2-3 days out
