  1. One can of vegetarian retried beans split between 5 1/2 cup bowls with a sprinkle of cheese on top. Just ready to be popped into the microwave for a minute or so for a meal.
  2. Meal preparation post surgery style
  3. I actually found 1/2 cup bowls with lids so when I open my can of refrigerator beans I can take it all out of the can put a dab of avocado on top and some graded cheese and have all of it ready to eat whenever I want it, four oz at a time.
  4. Ellie123 I think that your son would rather you be alive rather then you be at a dance, please take care of yourself for you and for him.
  5. I am inclined to agree with that
  6. A few tricks I have picked up already for at home are to use baby spoons and forks that will limit how much you can put in your mouth. And purchase smaller plates that will also keep you from putting more on your plate then you should.
  7. The soup was a Baritastic high protein soup I had lots of water throughout the day. I think it was just an off scale day. I saw my PCP today and his scale said 350.2 and I had left my shoes on. I am not complaining about that number at all. He was pleased with how well everything was doing and wants to see me again in one month to monitor meds to see what we can lower the doses of or take me off of all together.
  8. I weigh every day as well and I know I am not supposed to as well. I just do. I am not too concerned with it but it is a notable change.
  9. I have hit my first weight stall I weighed yesterday at 346.8 and today at 348.2 all I had yesterday was a Starbucks tall (which is their small) Americana decaf with pumpkin spice, a fuzzy navel fruit protein shake, some creamy chicken soup that was protein filled, and another protein shake along with my water bottle I sipped from all day.
  10. My surgeon did not want to use catheters so he made sure that each patient went to the bathroom at least twice before surgery.
  11. I have hit a mile stone for me, I broke 350 today I weighed in at 349.4 I am hyped! It does not take much to make me happy!
  12. BelleofBatonRouge, I am not exactly sure of the full reason why it has to be liquids only for 14 days however it is only 14 day and you can do it, you are already half way there. When is your surgery date?
  13. I am dealing with this issue right now. I take all of my pills with water one at a time and with a sip of water and no food. I do not take them with dinner or during a meal time. Take it slow and it will happen. You will do fine.
  14. My visit with my surgeon went well and I have my return to work date in hand. I will be able to go back to work on the 31st. He said I could go back whenever I wanted and if I wanted he would have let me go back today. I chose the 31st so I would be able to work part of the week, have a weekend off and then go back a full week. I have also been given clearance to go to the gym. I can walk on a tread mill, ride a bike and do light resistance work. No water aerobics until all of my incisions are healed up. The pains I have been having in my back have been my precious pouch talking to me and telling me that enough is enough and I need to pay more attention to what she wants, or does not want as the case may be.
  15. Getting off of everything is one of the many things I am working on.
  16. I have taken them and I am going to bed it is after midnight here in my neck of the woods. ???
  17. These are prescriptions that I am still on. I still have not taken them for the pain, I am so glad I am seeing my doctor later today.
  18. It does not matter what I eat it still makes the middle of my back hurt like you would not believe to the point where I don’t want to lye down or even try to eat or drink anything else including my pills. I am sitting here debating with my self weather or not to just skip my evening meds and just go to bed. However I will take them, pain or not as I know I need them.
  19. I am in the purée stage and just need to not be afraid to eat. I have had yogurt and protein shakes and jello and that is it. I still have pain in my side and in my back after I have any amount of food.
  20. I actually ate soft food yesterday! I had 5.5 oz of vanilla Greek yogurt and it was great it was a whole container and it took about an hour to eat the whole thing using a baby ? spoon ?. It was so good. Five or six spoons in I would stop for a while, like 10 or 15 minutes and then have 5 or 6 more spoons that is why it took an hour to eat what used to take 2 minutes. I coked two pieces of salmon for my husband for his dinner and lunch and I had to sample what I cooked I had just a 1/16th of an inch of a piece just a small fork pick off the end of one piece. I chewed it till it was water in my mouth and it was so good. I may actually try some cream of wheat this morning.
  21. I ate 5.5 oz of vanilla Greek yogurt and it took about an hour to eat the whole container. I did not rush. I enjoyed every bit of the yogurt. I made my husband two pieces of salmon for dinner and lunch and then had a small bite of the salmon I cooked for him. I chewed the salmon until it was mush and then some. The fish was so good. I still had back pain after I ate both the fish and the yogurt. it did feel good to eat real food.
  22. I started my journey at 383 pounds. As of today I am at 353 pounds. I only started my journey in April when I attended the seminar about the program. In May I saw the doctor for the first time and then started the procedure. I am off of all of my injections as of now, I am able to walk better on my arthritic left knee and I am more ready to join a gym then ever before. I am looking forward to getting below 200, I can never remember being that low in my life.
  23. Being post menopausal this is one issue I do not have to worry about thank God!
  24. I am hoping that after I see my doctor on Tuesday he gives me good news and I can actually go and look into a gym. I am ready to get moving more then just walking. And I hope that the place I am looking at has water aerobics so it will help my knee as well.
