74.6, Oh I want that 75 so bad. Maybe I can lost .4 tomorrow!!! It feels so good to be closer to my goal than closer to my start weight! My goal is 65 more but my surgeon said he'd be happy with 50 more.

Oh Janet, I am so sorry for your loss! I wasn't getting any updates that new posts had been made here and have not been online much. I got all the email updates on other threads but not this one so am just reading this. Thanks for the kudos about my jeans. Not sure what my next reward will be, probably for 100 lbs. gotta be a big one don't you think? I hope to get my wallet next weekend. I got an email out of the blue from a friend of a friend who is having lapband surgery on Monday, wanted me to share all my 'knowledge'. Imagine that, I'm a seasoned vetran now. It felt good to calm her fears and questions, her surgery is on Monday.

Good afternoon. What a weekend. First on Sat. my mom got a stomach flu, then on Friday my dad got it and he got it so much worse. he passed out and had me so scared. He said he hadn't been that sick in years. So we have just sat and sat and sat around the house. Friday I had to sit and wait for my stove to be delivered. So no I didn't get my wallet yet. Hopefully next weekend. HOWEVER, we did get out to the mall a bit today, and............. I GOT A PAIR OF SIZE 16 REGULAR JEANS AT THE GAP!!!!!! Tried on the 20's, nope too big. No 18's, so tried a 16 and it fit and on clearance for $17.99 better yet!! They are a tad snug but will be loosening up. I heard my mom telling my sister on the phone and she said 16 WOMENS right? and my mom said no regulars at the GAp. I think she's worried I am no longer willing to be the fat sister!! LOL Weird though I tried on 3 different styles of jeans and some fit and some didn't. I liked the $88 ones better but am not ready to spend that on something til goal weight. I will be wearing them tomorrow when my sisters come over for dinner!! LOL Ok better get back to my company, but I knew folks here would understand my excitement.

Good afternoon. It is drizzly and cold out here today, fall or winter has arrived. Scale is moving downward at a great pace but am getting myself prepared for it to stop again. I lose great, then slow, then lose again. One more pound til 75 and a new Coach wallet to match that purse I got for 50. We may be driving past the outlet on Monday and if we do, I might go ahead and get it since it's an hour away from me. Flowers, what kind of rash do you have? I had gall bladder surgery 2 mos. after my lapband. After the gall bladder surgery I got a rash in my incisions. I was miserable and it took a few weeks to clear up. They determined it was 'allergic dermatitis' and I had an RX strength Benedryl to take at night and something else for daytime. Weird thing is, I didn't get the rash the first time after banding so why would I be allergic the 2nd time? Maybe my immune system was still weak from 2 surgeries in 2 mos.

Good morning. Just a quick check while I have a break. Visit with the folks is going pretty good. Mom's not feeling well today which is putting a kink in our plans but other than that, they've been pretty supportive overall of my weight loss. And it helps that I seem to be on a fast track while they are here. I've lost a pound a day so far. YAHOO!! 74 now. We were going to go up to Estes Park today but may not due to mom not feeling well, but if we do, we drive right by the Coach outlet and DH said we could stop and get my 75 lb reward which is the matching wallet to my purse I got at 50 lbs. As to portion size, I do eat the 1/2 cup most of the time. And I am usually very satisfied with it and feel full. The only times I'd say I didn't is in social settings when I want to sample different foods etc. and I can't. But then again, that's a good thing as I would tend to graze way too much. And I always eat my protien first to be sure I get that in.

It's exciting to see some activity on the Colorado boards!! What's the meeting at Red Robin?? Bikini, I hope you are recovering well today! I hit 74 lbs gone this morning!! YAHOO!! My goal is to hit 75 by Halloween so I think I might make it. That's not my ultimate goal but am trying to set mini goals along the way.

OMG!! I am losing great again and am down to 74 lbs!!!!!! I can't believe it and am so thrilled.

mARILYN and Clempier, Great news on you both!! I was off my b/p meds one week post op, that there made the surgery so worthwhile!! I am so glad I had this done. As of today I am down 74 lbs.

I had free fills for 3 mos then they are $100 but they aren't done under flouro. Not sure how much they would be with flouro. I don't know that flouro. is necessary every time. That seems really high.

Hunzi. When is your appt? I hope it goes well and you can get the band rolling again!! My hair went through a stage too. I started taking Biotin and it helped a lot. I'm doing great. I've really started losing rapidly again, I'm loving it. I am at 73 now. I wanted 75 by Halloween and just might make it! I hope so. I have out of town company this week though and am doing very little in the form of exercise.

Sorry you are feeling crummy. I was lucky, never had pain or nauseousness, each day should get better. Yep I had a hiatal hernia repair too and no more reflux!! It's been wonderful! That was my 2nd thought when waking up, the first was, 'should I be awake now or am I still in surgery', then OMG what have I done? Just checking in quick, during my parents visit. It's going well so far. Each day they seem more and more positive about my band and weight loss too. It helps that I have lost a pound a day while they've been here. Not sure what's happened but the weight loss is kicked up to high gear again, I'm loving it!! Down 73 as of this am, need to update siggie and ticker still, will do that next week!

They noticed my loss right away at the airport, just said you look like you've lost weight and I replied, Yes I have a lot! That was it. Then later this afternoon mom asked me how I was losing. So I told her, it was pretty much a non issue. She wasn't negative but she wasn't positive either. Basically it was just like an 'Oh'. Conversation came back to it a few times and as I told her more about it she was a little more interested especially when it finally registered that I was telling her I had surgery in June and have lost a total of 70 lbs and 60 of that was since surgery. that piqued her interest more. So guess I was worried for nothing. Ideally, I'd have loved more enthusiasm or congrats or something but this was better than the negativity I expected.

YEA!!!! See I told you once you got it, it would move fast. I thought of you last night. I went to the north area support group, Kim lead it, and it was mentioned that Dr. Snyder was going to Rome on Monday and also a vacation and would be gone for a few weeks. So I am glad you got in before that. What time is your surgery? Are you at Founders or Rose? Good luck to you. You will do great as you have researched and planned for this so long, you know what to expect and what to do. Now go stock up on those Protein drinks and broth to have on hand post op. :tt1:

71 as of this morning!!!!! I love the daily plate site. I started using it to track my protien but love all the info there and how it presents it, so easy to use.

Thanks for the pointer. I never think of taking something for flats when I go, of course, I'm not going that far yet but still far enough where I don't necessarily want to walk home.

This thought has crossed my mind. At first I had told no one about my surgery but eventually told a few and word is out. I told my sisters as one could really benefit from the surgery and was asking lots of questions. So I am afraid if I don't tell and she does (though I've asked her not to) that that will make the situation worse. I guess I am a big girl now and mommy can take it or leave it. If I haven't gotten her approval after 50 yrs I ain't never gonna get it!

Greatlyblessed, you've lost 55 lbs. that's fantastic. I've heard it said more than one time here on the boards, we got bands on our stomachs not our heads. The head hunger is still there and we still need to battle that. sounds like you are doing a good thing with journalling about it. If you follow the 'rules of the tool' (that's what my dr office calls it) then you will continue to lose. And as ou get more fills it should get a little easier but that still doesn't take away the head hunger. I've been lucky, my surgeon is very aggressive with fills, I've had 5 already and that doesn't include the prefill I got in surgery. But I still sometimes don't have the greatest restriction. I'm thinking of getting another at my next visit. Keep up the good work, you will get there.

Good evening. I just got home from my support group too, BeckyO, it was a good group, lots of changes happening though. CathyChatts, nice to see you here, good luck with your surgery. My bladder issues seem to have improved with the weightloss though not perfect. Gail, sorry for the loss of your mom. Well today was an eventful day. My over repair guy came and to fix it was going to cost between $400 and $500 so I said thanks but no thanks. And I went shopping and the new one will be delivered on Friday. I had a tough time deciding. All my appliances are bisque (not my choice came with the house), I so wanted to get black or stainless but then they wouldn't match. I ended up getting the bisque and it was hard to find as it's not too popular anymore. Tomorrow my parents arrive who know nothing of my weight loss or surgery. I'm nervous but think I have my head together now and am not going to let her negativity rain on my weight loss success. How can she argue with 70 lbs and no more blood pressure meds?

Ah, thanks so much for the encouraging words regarding my mom's visit tomorrow. DH will probably deflect some of it. And who knows I might be pleasantly surprised and she won't be. She has been negative my entire life. I fight hard not to be like that. Sometimes I see tendencies and it scares the crap out of me. I feel awesome about the changes I have made, my kids, my husband and even my sisters have been very supportive so they will all be in my corner. Yvonne, welcome. sorry you got laid off but sounds like you are putting the time to good use!

Good morning! Here I sit waiting for my appliance repair guy. He's due at 930, I am the first appt of the day so they should be on time or early they said. So I got up bright and early to shower etc. as I sure didn't want them to call while I was in the shower. Then I have got to clean, clean, and clean some more. My parents come tomorrow and I know she will find the spot I missed. Am pretty nervous about telling them about my lap band, they have no clue I've had it nor that I've lost weight. But how can she be negative with 70 lbs lost, off b/p medication, etc.?
