My mother doesnt support me. Just this weekend she sent me a long message about how i should do it and how i wont be able to have kids and how im going to have some many complications. For my mother to be a educator for over 45 years she still wont allow me to educate her on the surgery.
I told her i do not want her to come to the hospital i told her to just pray from me from home. She has been hurting my feeling this past month! She is the ONLY person i regret telling

Hey all, I just had surgery on 5/6. I lost 20 Pounds. ! Everything has been going perfect. Except the heart burn. if i drink water or anything my chest immediately catches on fire lol . I just started taking the 1 tablet a day the DR prescribed but honestly is this forever?

Hey ya'll I just wanted to update. Checked again with my insurance I do not need PCP and the attending physician performing the surgery has to be the one to submit everything which is great. I have a group policy through Anthem BCBS of Wisconsin.
Since I have posted here I talked to the doctor's office about 4 times. This week I have called twice just to make sure there is not anything else that I needed to do or submit. My file is still "in queue" waiting to be sent or "paperwork being gathered" to be sent.

My issue with seeking out a random PCP is the thought that they would have me do even more blood work and labs just to tell me I am pre-diabetic, blood pressure and cholesterol levels are normal (thank goodness)...et cetra. My surgeon requires everyone to see a gastroentologist like 2 months in. I have had ultrasounds and scans, an upper endoscopy, and other blood work.
You all have been a lot of help I work in insurance but it is still so mind blowing how different policies/providers require different things before submitting.

Both my wife and I had sleeve surgery in 2013. She has acid reflux constantly and I have sour stomach no matter what I eat. Side effect of the surgery. Not a big fan of sleeve surgery but, too late now.

It might be, but probably not. Presumably, the doc has prescribed omeprazole, or similar PPI medication for it. The sleeve is predisposed toward reflux problems as the stomach volume is reduced much more than the acid producing capacity, and it takes a while for the body to adjust (doesn't mean that one will have that problem, just that the odds are higher than the general population, in comparison, the bypass is predisposed toward marginal ulcers, dumping and reactive hypoglycemia, so there are potential problems with whatever procedure one chooses. )
Usually, the problem goes away as the body adjusts, but sometimes it doesn't completely and one needs to stay on some type of medication for it, or in extreme cases, revise the surgery.

Thank you!! My dr said your first month they have a goal . But realistically Most can reach it . Just do as much as you can and take your vitamins youll be fine! My pain has calmed down a lot. My pain mostly comes from heart burn and acid reflux from water lol

Omg guys . Sorry I’ve been gone but the recovery process is real . I could barely keep my eyes open and when I did it headed for the bathroom and a few laps in my yard then back to sleep . Now I’m sitting on the edge of my bed at 2:00 am can’t sleep and listening to my stomach cursing me out

I like how you said that... "get the tool installed" that is exactly how you should think about it because if you don't use the tool, it's not going to use itself as many here can attest...
