What did you tell people at work?

FishOn, I would really like to see your Weight Loss Tips. I can’t get it to open. Any suggestions? Could you email directly to me? boardlady@netptc.net

    How old were you when?

I was 65, almost 66. I will be 66 in 8 days. I’m 5 and 1/2 weeks post op gastric bypass. I wanted to have surgery 3 years ago, but insurance didn’t cover any WLS. So I waited to enroll in Medicare. Very happy I had surgery.

    Gastric Bypass-No Weight Lost

My bypass surgery was 8/10. I haven’t lost for 5 days. Walking 30 minutes/day, water at 64-80 oz., 300-400 calories, and taking vitamins. I don’t know what else to do?

How many days after surgery did you have your first poo?

11days post op. What did you take for constipation and how much? How often?

    Pity Party - WAAAAAAAH!

I had to take a swallow test to determine if I was a candidate for sleeve. Turns out I’m not. I had acid reflux and esophagus muscles that would not push the food through. So 8 days ago I had bypass. On full liquids still, soups, yogurt, etc. but, so far, so good. Sleeve-bypass May be your best bet. Good luck!

    SEPTEMBER 2018 SURGERIES AND SUCCESS

Frustr8, had RnY on August. No prediet required. One day ahead of surgery all liquid diet. I’m 65 years young. 8 days out of surgery and doing great. Transitioned to puréed soup and yogurt yesterday. So far so good. Good Luck to you.

    Surgery is today!!

You got this! Just follow instructions and you will be fine. The physicians and nurses know what they are doing. Trust them.
  13. I just learned of this app. Exactly what I’ve been looking for. I am one week post-op from RnY. So far, so good. Minimal pain, minimal gas. Had my first “meal” after one week of solid liquids. I slowly ate 3 ounces of nonfat plain Greek yogurt. It was awesome to have something other than broth and sugar-free popsicles. Good luck to all of you who are still waiting for your surgery. I am 65 years young and anxious to be healthy. Down 12 pounds.
