Large-capacity pouch 6 weeks post op
I just had my 6 week post op visit and said the exact same thing to my nutritionist. She said that I can tolerate a 1/2 cup to 1 cup of food at this point because the pouch is healed and not swollen anymore.

I have that feeling too. It comes after I bend too much or do too much. I walk around holding my large incision in for support.- Summer 2018 Surgery Buddies: POST-OP Discussion

I’ve been sticking with scrambled eggs, cottage cheese, Greek yogurt, ricotta, and broth with protein powder. My nutritionist gave me a great recipe for ricotta, marinara sauce, mozzarella, and parm. I’ll post it when I go downstairs. She said I could eat it during the puréed food stage.- Summer 2018 Surgery Buddies: POST-OP Discussion
How are you feeling? I now have a tightness that wasn’t there a few days ago.- Summer 2018 Surgery Buddies: POST-OP Discussion
The pain is totally manageable. I was worried too, but it is more of a discomfort.- Summer 2018 Surgery Buddies: POST-OP Discussion
Chrisb, going well. First few days were heavy pain meds. Now that I am home and doing more, there are new pains, but people on here say that is normal.- Summer 2018 Surgery Buddies: POST-OP Discussion

Thank you, Sosewsue. This puts my mind at ease.- 10 Days Post-Op and Feeling New Pain
Hello. Just joined this group today. I had my bypass on 8/1 and am feeling a different kind of pain today. It is a tightness and pain around the main incision (not the incision itself), but only when I move or bend. If I am sitting still, I feel fine. Is this normal? Thanks for any insight.
