  1. So update: I’m about a week from the trip and I’m 243 as of this morning. WooHoo. I’m going to book the horseback riding excursion today. I’m so excited. I feel great. About to go workout now. Thanks for all of the encouragement!
  2. Exactly!! Thanks for the education!
  3. Good to know! I just didn’t want to be one of the people they asked to weigh or gave the stink eye too because of my former weight. I would be too through!!!
  4. Some places have a 225 weight limit. The place we’re looking at is 250. I can swing that.
  5. Yes that’s how I always felt. The poor horse that would’ve had to carry me!!!
  6. Thank you for the encouragement!!
  7. Thank you! I hope so. I stalled for about 2 weeks and started getting discouraged and then this week lost 3 lbs. I think I wasn’t drinking enough water. I can’t wait for that trip. To finally be comfortable in my own skin and save money because I won’t be eating much! That’s money to shop and do other fun stuff! And you look beautiful by the way. Love your profile pic!
  8. I’m so glad someone posted this. I LOVE sushi and wondering if anyone still ate it after being sleeved. I’m going to wait a couple more months to try it out though.
  9. I was sleeved on 10/2/2018 and am down 47lbs. I feel like my progress is slow but steady. I’m actually in the 250’s for the first time in YEARS! My hubby and I have a Vegas trip planned in January and my gift to myself if I’m under 250 is to go horseback riding for the first time ever. I’ve never been under the maximum weight in my adult life so I’ve always avoided doing it. I know it will be cold but I don’t care. My butt will be freezing doing something I’ve always wanted to do. I’m so excited. Now to continue this hard work. I’m about 60ish lbs from where I think I want to be, which is under 200, and it finally feels like a realistic goal! Here’s to being sexy in Vegas. To all my fellow sleevers “We’ve got this”! HW - 306 SW - 298 CW - 259 GW - none (just to be under 200) Height - 5’8 1/2
  10. ??? I’m cracking up! That was hilarious!!! I accept my trophy with honor!
  11. You look awesome!! Good for you lady. We have similar beginning weight. I think I was 298 day of surgery. How tall are you? I’m not trying to lose my natural curves either. Don’t want to get below 180 to be honest.
  12. LOL. I actually weighed myself before and after a poop session and I lost 1.4 lbs. it was the craziest thing. I told my hubby and he just stared at me in disbelief. #truestory
  13. I feel the exact same way. I’ve only lost 1 lb in the last week or so and I’m feeling like that’s it for me. I know it’s irrational but it’s scary!
  14. THis feeling goes away. I felt it for the first week or two. Even tortured myself looking at recipes of stuff I couldn’t eat. I’m 4 weeks out and I don’t feel like I’m missing out so much anymore. I guess it goes away the more your diet changes. Now that I can eat a little more I’m fine. No more torture. LOL. Hang in there.
  15. I just realized that I’ve been tracking my weight in MyFitnessPal since 2012 and I’ve never been below 274.4...until now. I’m now 270.2 which is probably the lowest weight I’ve seen in 8 or 9 years. I’m only 3 1/2 weeks or so post op but the difference is already amazing. My feet have shrunk my thighs have shrunk...pretty much everything except my butt (which hubby is fine with). I’m so happy I did this! Already planning how to eat on business travel/meetings when I go back to work next week. I feel like a new woman. If anyone reading this is considering this surgery and having doubts...just do it. It was the most difficult (2 years of doubting) yet rewarding decision ever.
  16. Thank you. I just tried a slice of Applegate roasted turkey with a smear of hummus and it was delightful. Definitely on my list for next week. I was able to eat the whole slice but that was it so that may be my entire lunch. LOL
  17. Hi All. I’ll be 4 weeks sleeved next Tuesday. I’m headed back to work next Thursday. Not sure how to pack lunch/snacks for the day. As of this week I’m on soft/puréed food. What does your typical day look like food-wise? I just purchased a bento box with compartments off Amazon to help but I’m not sure how to pack. I can tolerate a lot of liquids/smoothies but am scared to try meat protein right now. Help please! Thanks!
  18. Been there done that. This puréed food thing is getting real old. I need some real food in my belly!
  19. Good for you. My surgery was exactly 2 weeks ago today. Still in full liquid but I do sneak some purées in. Hard to keep on just liquid. How are you feeling? Other than missing chewing my food I’m feeling great. Still a little tired but my energy is definitely back up. Struggling with getting enough protein too.
  20. Thank you. It’s gotten a little better. I’m cutting low sugar Gatorade with ice electrolyte water and it seems to be helping. I don’t wake up in the middle of the night now with a dry mouth but I do have to sip first thing in the morning. Slowly but surely getting there.
  21. Yes!! It felt like my chest was been squeezed from the inside out. I had to get a prescription from my surgeon for acid reduction. Worked like a charm.
  22. Cool. I think I’ll try that with the lentil and kale so I can have a different taste.
  23. Oh I know. That is the annoying part. I hate reheating my food. It does seem as if my ouch prefers cold food though. Trying to figure out how to make a smoothie with little foam.
