TomC got a reaction from jackib579 in Protein goals and Fruit
HI- I had surgery a few months ago and recently joined a boot-camp exercise class. The instructor gave the class a goal of trying to eat your weight in protein grams per day. So, currently I am around 200, which would mean I would need to aim for 200 grams of protein a day. It seems extreme. The other nutrition question I have surrounds fruit. I try to eat an apple a couple of times a week, but they are high in carbs. Is this OK or should I try a different fruit?

Wow, I hope you get the answer you are seeking. I also hope this is not me. I too feel at times like it makes no sense that I am not breaking the stall. I am now trying to slam water and be more mindful of what I am eating, but I don't think I am eating too much either. I think I am always below 1000 calories a day. Good luck!

I was sleeved in July and I also feel like I have been in a stall for the last 2 months. I am trying to up my water intake, reduce my diet soda intake, and increase exercise. I know we will get through it, But it is hard. I have my 6 month check in tomorrow, and I have barely lost any weight since my 3 month. Not looking forward to it.

I just had the procedure a few weeks ago and I am already down about 20 lbs. I tell people I have been dieting for some time, which is the truth and it is just starting to show. I also tell them I gave up bread, and that usually gives them the answer they want. Good luck.
