  1. Okay we all know and understand that once in a while for some of us we get shoulder pains from gas... lately i have not been getting that instead when im eating im in so much pain that when i breath my ears and head hurts like hell... like someones pinning a needle towards my ears it's reallyyyy painful and was wondering if this is normal??? i called the office and told the lady has my doctors is off for the next 2 weeks she said she can't understand why this is happening  it's been a week and nothing change... I'd appreciate your opinion :huh2: xx
  2. Hi Doctor Schulman, This is a huge thread, sorry if this has been asked but im really curious! I'm 23 and I have 110 pounds to go before i hit my goal weight (lost already 121 pounds) and i was wondering is it better to do tummy tuck once i hit my goal weight? because i was hoping to do the operation once i am ALMOST at my goal weight by about 22 pounds (would be 176 pounds at the time) as i know you loose more weight after the surgery... do you think that's ok?? Also i plan to do an arm lift and im abit concerned about the mark after surgery... does the mark ever go away?? Thanks for your time
  3. actually i chew gum no problem at all and my doctor didnt say anything, i even had gum in my mouth when i saw him so i don't think its a problem, though like everyone said, don't swollow... i did once about 4 weeks post op and i had abit of pain but since then i havnt swollowed but i do chew gum with np
  4. I had no self confidence but as i grow heathier i feel so much better about myself therefore i talk to guys now before i just hide, im happy and confidence to be around them. Some say to me they feel they are talkin to someone new because i use to always never talk before and 2 of them keep saying they want to marry me lool so yes to be honest it does improve just takes time to find the right one  but let me tell you it makes you feel sooo good and "sexier"!
  5. i took a good 2 weeks off im glad i did i needed it!!
  6. Everyones body is different, in 2006 i did 5 hours a day of work out 3 times a week weights and lost 50kg (which is 110 pounds) then in 2007 i put on 14 kilos (30 pounds) and now with my lap band in i lost 15 kilos (34 pounds) and im thinking of going back into the crazy excerise mode for a while untill i stop loosing as much weight (still need to loose another 50kilos which is another 110 pounds) and change my eating and excerise around... really it depends on your body.
  7. I lost 110 pounds in 5 months but that came with 5 hours excerise a day!!
  8. i went and saw my doctor today and he took my bandages off which i had on for 2 weeks after my op and i straight away got the feeling your talking about i couldnt sit but he told me it was very normal and it will go soon, so i think you have nothing to worry about! x
  9. i lost 30pounds before my operation from optifast shake (i am 2 weeks banded) but when i changed to soup after the op my body went into a huge shock so i gained a pound in these 2 weeks which is fine, saw my doctor today and he was really happy with me :coolgleamA:
  10. I was told by my doctor that the more i walked the more gas ill burp out, i had my surgery on the 15th of april and now my shoulders are fine, i still have pains on my shoulder but nothing like it use to be.
  11. i know that's what i was thinking myself! :blushing:
  12. wow looking at the results i'm surprised, thought it was rare to throw up.. i'm only a week since surgery so i have not experienced this.
  13. My doctor told me that you gain 1 to 5kg before/during your periods then it disappears so i would not worry at all
  14. No not at all, ice cream is some part of peoples liquid diet the first 2 weeks after surgery i've been only 6 days since i had my surgery and been having icecream with it, you will be fine ice cream is too soft to make harm the band.
  15. I got banded on tuesday and had the same problem, they said my hiatal hernia was HUGE and thank goodness they fixed that up for me. Yes i do think we get extra pain, i had the same pain for about 5 days today it seems to hardly be there today so i think i'm getting better YAY!... i say that you should give it a week if you're still in pain give your doctor a call but i'm sure you'll be fine and on your way to loosing weight successfully :tongue_smilie:
