17 days post op and everything tastes like metal or cardboard ??‍♀️

17 days post op and the pain is horrible. Does anyone know when the stitches internally will dissolve? I felt like I was okay but then the past few days have been a nightmare.

Has anyone else experienced lower back pain? I'm a few days from 3 weeks post op and have had some lower back pain all night. No temp...everything else seems okay. At my last appt they said I should be in the clear for infections or leaks, but I'm still pretty nervous!! Any idea when I can feel "okay"? I have heard differing opinions...3 weeks, 1 month, 90 days, & never. Ugh. Why is this causing so much mental stress. ?

Try sugar free popsicles...they seem to help me.

Sounds scary! So glad you're on the mend!! Thanks for posting the warning signs, I'm 17 days post op and am living in fear every day. This has been much harder than I had imagined.

They allow me 1/4 of a small banana at a time and no other fresh fruits. I've been too afraid to try them though.

At 10 days I was not allowed eggs. I could do broth, sugar free popsicles, yogurt, cottage cheese & apple sauce only.

I have the same horrible pain! I couldn't get up for 2 hours yesterday the pain was SO bad! I'm afraid to even move now.

Thanks! I thought originally it was something bad, so I went in and he did a CT said no leaks or infections. I thought it was behind me. It's so odd & discouraging. I'm 16 days post-op.

Has anyone had experience with lower left abdominal pain? It comes and goes. It was bad after surgery then went away for about a week, then today it was back again. It feels like ripping or pulling and stinging. They did a CT scan a week ago and everything was fine. Today I was stuck and couldnt move the pain was so bad. After 2 oxycodone I was able to get up...it was a terrible 2 hours. I did message my doctor, but was wondering if anyone had any insight into this?

2 weeks post op and suddenly I feel like my armpits always smell...anyone else go through this? What can I do? HELP!

Looking for some ideas for Soft Foods. Anyone have a favorite? This stage is 3 months so I need to start planning.

They gave me broth, popsicles, & a protein shake while I was still in the hospital. The first week I was running to the restroom also, but it has slowed down now. I'm 2 weeks Post-Op.
