  1. Never even thought about the infant ones. What dosage do you use for an adult?
  2. so I waited until 2 days prior to surgery to start looking for the gas-x strips that Ive read so much about. It appears that these are not made anymore. Not available on Amazon, ebay, or any other website. Do they make something similar or liquid form? Im sure if I spend money on something I will most likely not need it.....
  3. Day 4 pre-op liquid only seems to be kicking my butt today. Pushing forward with some hard work and house cleaning to distract myself. 2 more days liquid, and 1 clear liquid day until showtime!! Come on July 25th.
  4. Started this past Friday, but officially don't have to start until tomorrow. Hang in there and I agree with stay busy. Occupy your mind. I asked for extra work at work. I checked out a few library books....
  5. LOVE this thread. Doesn't make me feel bad for having those 2 chicken nuggets last night after staying strict with liquid all day. Back on the horse today. Im down 4lbs(just getting started with my journey) and my official liquid diet starts tomorrow but I have been trying really hard to stick to it now. Surgery in one week.
  6. Tomorrow is my nutrition class, and pre-op appointment. One week until surgery. This is getting real. Thank you all for your comments. Real life experience means more to me then text books information.
  7. Officially started my preop diet. Hoping to loose a good amount before surgery!! So far so good. I am prepared with lots of options. Between a busy weekend and VBS next week, I hoping they are a good distraction!! Hope everyone is doing well.
  8. So many emotions evolve with the decision to make this step called surgery. I have yoyo’d all my life. Being the bigger sister, the fat kid, the big boned teenager...lost a lot of weight after marriage. Lost both my parents and a child gained all back and then some. I blame pregnancy sometimes. I have a 6yr old special needs child. I’m doing this for her!! She is my rock! She depends on me to care for her. I can’t do that adequately at 315. She weighs 55lbs and I have to load I her into the car and to her wheelchair...so this whole process is for her!!!! I think that’s what makes it easier for me. I know it’s going to be tough and I may have regrets. No matter how or how long it took me to get where I am. I know I have to change! Keep your head up! Also glad I found this forum!
  9. My pre-pre-op diet consists on a much needed pedicure and hair appointment....6 days until liquids and 14 days until surgery!!!
  10. glad your pain seems to be minimal. Keep us posted on your progress!
  11. How are you feeling today? pain better?
  12. checking in on those from surgery day yesterday!? AshAsh12 was the only name I could remember... Hope all is doing well so far. My pre-op diet starts on the 18th and surgery on the 25th. Nerves getting a little stronger.
  13. Im July 25th! the count down is getting real.
  14. Tuscaloosa, AL here!! Roll Tide!
  15. I like pen/paper too, I need to start doing this again. I LOVE the post it thing! Definitely going to start that!! I am also looking for books to help distract my mind from the thoughts of food. I have to say that food has consumed my life for FAR to long!
  16. July 25th here (this is also my first post ever!) I have to do liquids one week out with clear liquids the day prior to surgery! Ive already started to incorporate liquids for at least one meal a day sometimes two. I have cut out carbonated drinks completely. Im excited for my nutrition class coming!
