  1. :scared2: I have an appointment with my physician this week. When do you know when it is time to fill? There are days when I cannot eat anything without throwing up and days that I can eat an 8-ounce steak without trouble. One day it is tight and the other day its not?? I would hate to be overfilled..I have been there before and it is miserable...
  2. I have lost 65 punds in 11 months. I never thought that would happen! :smile2:
  3. Thank you all for the replies! I guess plateaus at 60 pounds are common. I have stepped up on the exercise and changed my diet around too. Maybe this will jump start it again! It needs to start moving soon...the holidays are coming :wink2: If my body wants to be stubborn it should wait until after I get under 200...grr:cursing: LOL Thanks again:cool2:
  4. I lost about 60 pounds now and I have tried to get off another 10 pounds with no luck. At what stage did you hit a big plateau and have some trouble getting off the pounds? Looks like I am stuck in one now...
  5. I was banded in January 2008. I had my 4th fill in July and it is at the correct tightness. The problem that I am having is REFLUX! Never felt heartburn before, but wow now I know why it is called that! Burns from the Uvula on down and all I can do is regurgitate hot saliva:thumbdown: very painful and PeptoBismol and Tums do not help at all. Asked my Dr. to write me a prescription for Protonix today. Hope this helps. Does anyone else experience this same problem?:girl_hug:
  6. Since january 29, 2008 60 pounds!
  7. I was banded in Tupelo by Dr. Terry Pinson. His office number is: 662-377-7546 he might be able to do a fill if you have the band patient or not.:crying:
  8. I was banded on January 29th of this year. I have now lost about 60 pounds:thumbup: which is a miracle to me! I could have never done it without the band!!:rolleyes2:
  9. Thank you for the replys. Yes the point of having the band is to not be able to eat as much, but I just wanted to know if it was normal to have days when you can hold food and others when you cannot. Seems like this is normal and days do vary. Thanks for the input.
  10. On my 4th fill the band was obviously too tight and could not swallow water without trouble. After another adjustment (2 sticks in 1-hour ) water could pass easily. Now I am very restricted in what I can eat now. Good thing is that I am losing weight much better, but also having to really watch the amount that I can eat. How do you really know when the band is too tight for food?:confused2:
  11. I was just wondering. I heard of a person who got a piece of meat stuck and had to go to the Emergency room. How do they un-stick the blockage? humm....:tt1:
  12. Well...it is good to know that I am still on track. Thanks again for the replies!
  13. I was banded on January 29, 2008. I have now lost over 40 pounds. When some people ask how much have I lost by now thay say that they know someone who has lost much more. I think over 40 pounds is great, but is it??
  14. Well OK....I got my 3rd fill on June 4th and could barely eat soup before the swelling went down. I am eating small meals and they are chewed very VERY well. I am having absolutely no trouble with breakfast (slim fast) and lunch, but I cannot tolerate supper-even if it is soup. Is this normal??
  15. You can get Biotin at the local Pharmacy in the vitamin and supplement section. Hope this helps!
  16. Chewing, chewing, chewing...especially after a new band fill :teeth_smile:
  17. and more Protein! Take Biotin too it also helps!
  18. to feel extremely restricted after fills for a few days and then get better about a week after? Is this due to swelling?
  19. Another test
  20. Thanks so much!
  21. Testing:
  22. How do you create one of the weight loss count down "tickers" on the screen?? I am new to this. :tongue2:
  23. My physician might do it. Call 1-662-377-7546 and speak with Dr. Pinson's nurse.:tongue2: Located in Tupelo, MS
  24. Thanks.....now I know this is 'normal"
  25. Welll...I think my Dr. finally got me in the "GREEN" zone...but leaning also to the "RED" zone:confused:. Two chicken nuggets and I am done....is this too tight?? Lost 8 pounds in 6 days though! I feel bulemic for the first time in my life.... if we go out to dinner I have to be close to the bathroom in case of regurgitation:thumbdown:
