I gained 8 lbs of water weight in the hospital. They have pumped you full of fluids in case you could not drink much after surgery. Dont worry it wil come off quickly in the next week or so.
  2. 1 to 2 pounds is about where i am at too.
  3. The gas pain is the worst of it. You wont want to, but get up and walk as soon as you can. Its the only thing that really helps. You will be surprised how quickly you recover.
  4. I've slowed down to a pound or two every week.
  5. We are in the same boat. My surgery was june 13th and i am down 38 lbs. It started off fast but now is slow going. I had a 2week stall so i really know what you mean about it being a head game. Try to stay positive, we will both make it in the long run. We got past the hard part, now we just need to stick with the program. You can do it! ☺
  6. I 7 weeks out from sugery and habe lost 20 lbs plus another 9 in the preop diet. I hit a stall the last 2 weeks. My body is really hanging onto the fat for dear life. LOL!
  7. Thanks BajanSleeve! I did get lots of information from the nutritionist, but no mention of calories. Everything was on what you can and cant eat, protein and water goals. Sent from my SM-T550 using BariatricPal mobile app
  8. Hi everyone, I am 3 weeks post ds surgery. I am doing good but I cant stand any more protein shakes. I can get all my protein in through food but I am wondering if I am getting too many calories. Is 800 too many calories for one day? I am exercising every day. 9. Hope you shed the fluid soon. I know how uncomfortable it is for me. ☺
  10. Thanks so much for the suggestions and support.
  11. Rex is the best!!!! I am 6 days post op and I feel like this team has supported me every step of the way! I chose Dr Bermudez to do my surgery and I could not be more pleased with how I am doing so far. I know this Dr and support team will be with me through my full recovery and beyond. 13. Congrats! I am 6 days out myself. I struggle with the premier, I am having better luck with the syntax nectar. Not as much protein (23) but easier for me to get down. You are a champ getting such a good start with the protein! Sent from my SM-T550 using BariatricPal mobile app
  14. Thanks for the support! I guess I am over worrying. Its all so scary, so much to try to schedule and goals to meet. Guess i am still a little emotional with being just out of the hospital. [emoji5] Sent from my SM-T550 using BariatricPal mobile app
  15. Thanks for responding, i will quit worrying. [emoji3] Sent from my SM-T550 using BariatricPal mobile app
  16. I was wondering if anyone actually gained weight after sugery. I went into surgery at 252 lbs and when i got home i was at 261 lbs. 6 days out im at 254. Also i am having trouble getting 64 oz fluids and 80 grams protein. Best i have done with protein is 30. Which is more important for the first few weeks?
