  1. Down 44lbs SW 216 Now 172 Need to stay away from sugar ? but doing good overall.
  2. Had almost 2 week stall. Lost 22lbs since 6/21 surgery. I started to make sure i was getting 60 protien, under 30 carbs and trying more water but the water part is hard. Started losing again with more protien less carbs.
  3. I agree, started real food 1 week out per dr. Definitely mind game.
  4. Let me know if you guys (crash and blacklioness) break your stall. All 3 of us down 20lbs with nothing last 2 weeks and all 3 surgery on 6/21
  5. I'm Similar Surgery 6/21 5'7 Sw 216 Current 196 Goal 150s Haven't lost any weight in past week.... I've been on solids since week 2.
  6. I started lifting too, at 3 weeks. Never had lifting restriction by doctor because operation was through belly button. Do about 30mins cardio 30mins lifting. Its great.
  7. Great job!! Had my surgery 6/21 lost 19lbs so far (12 days). I eat between 300-450 calories
  8. Switching to normal foods has been so much better.. not starving as much. It can be hard to eat very much though. About 3 spoons is all i can get at a time right now. Today i ate a soft ground beef taco, 1/2 then waited a few hours and ate the other half. It was nice getting normal food. I have found my mind wondering like oh, i should have a piece of french toast, lol...but then i catch myseld and say no....dont do it. You would still lose weight just because we can't eat much, but im trying to choose healthy stuff as much as possible.
  9. I had no preop diet at all. My Surgen is a top surgen who has been doing it 27 years. He said one is not needed.
  10. Mine was 6/21 my doc said dont worry about calories just keep carbs under 30. Right now im between 300-400 calories though. Im cleared to eat anything other than nuts, beef jerky, really hard stuff basically.
  11. Most people lose between 10-15 in first 2 weeks is what i was told, but everyones different. Im happy we are on the larger loss side of that
  12. Yes thats Awesome! I lost a lot the first week too. 15lbs 8 days now down17 in 10 days. Keep up the good work!
  13. You and i our similar. Im 5'7 as well. Surgery weight 212 now 197, surgery 6/21. Carry the majority of weight in Stomach and size L bra. We are boarderline for this surgery in terms of what most people think but I 100% think i made the right decision! I had issues waiting until i was really hungry and then eating too much, not a snacker. I've been heavy since 19 and could never keep the weight off after losing it.
  14. Oh man, that would suck. Love corn and beans! Beans are good for you, my Dr. Allows. Everyone should do what they think is best. We eat so little, eat what you like in moderation. If you like corn and beans eat it...its not cake. I find this forum to be ok for some things but far too restricting and fear mongering sometimes....
  15. You will be fine....i didnt have one, im post op down 16lbs in 7 days.. its not that hard.
  16. Its on my dr's list of approved foods for day 8.. Im on day 8 today i ate: 1/2 egg scrambled with 1/4 mushroom and 1 tbs of sauteed spinach 2oz of tilapia 2tbs of mashed potatoes 4 wheat thin crackers and about 1/4 of string cheese And have lost 15lbs in 7 days
  17. Nope, no weight loss requirement. Just dont eat or drink past midnight night before surgery.
  18. Yeah, my Dr. Is aggressive at starting new foods it seems compared to others, but hes been doing it 27 years and trained almost everyone. I didn't even do a preop diet, he told me it doesn't really shrink the liver like they thought. I think preop is smart though, prepares you for reality. I went from eating steak the night before to only drinking water, lol... I live in Dallas. Height 5.7 SW: 216 Now: 201
  19. Yogurt, clear broth, baby food like pureed fruit. Tomorrow day 8, i can start eggs, fish, cheese, etx. Excited for tomorrow!!! 22!!thats a lot in 7 days, thats Awesome! What are you eating.
  20. This is an older post, but always happy to connect with other mini Sleeve patients. ? Had mine May 15th 2018. I’m doing great also...down 30 lbs. Love Dr. McCarty and his entire staff! Awesome, wanted to post just incase you hadn't chosen him yet. great job on 30lbs.. cant wait until im there too
  21. Had my mini by Dr Mcarty on 6/21/18 doing great and down 15lbs
  22. I was scared too, just choose a good surgeon. Mine went through belly button and trained most other Dr's, his leak rate was less than 1/2 precent. I chickened out for a year 1/2 and gained 3lbs then decided to just do it
  23. Yes, mine. Im in Dallas and my Surgeon has been doing this over 20 years, trained most of the other dr's. No pre op and a much faster pace post op diet too. I didnt spend the night in hospital either. He said the preop shrink liver belief doesnt really work...
