  1. Hi there! Sleeved on June 5. Still struggling with getting enough protein and water. I’m finding protein bars settle best with me but I’m sick of my current brand/flavor (Quest mint). What’s your favorite protein bar? How do you manage to get all your protein in? No premier protein shakes.....they make me nauseated now. ?

  3. I had my sleeve June 5 and I am in the very same boat. I have regrets. I can’t seem to get enough water, or protein. My weight loss has all but stopped. I’m depressed, high anxiety and totally not myself. I feel like crap every time I eat or drink. I have 2 friends that had the surgery before me and they promise me it gets better, so I still have hopes. I have tried the isopure, it’s very good. Also the 42gm new whey protein drinks are helpful. I know this probably wasn’t much help to you, other than to let you know what you are feeling is normal and you’re not alone. ?

  5. Heating pad! I was having a heck of a time with gas pains while in the hospital (thought for sure I was having a heart attack). The nurse came in and cut my pain med dose in half (WTH???) and gave me two warm blankets. I decided then and there I didn’t like this nurse, until the warm blankets all but wiped out my gas pain. So heating blankets, sit up straight and lots of deep breathing. I’m on day 6 and they are gone and have been for a couple days.

  9. Make sure you have a heating pad! It was my best friend for the first couple of days. The gas pain was a real bummer, but the heating pad helped. Also sugar free popsicles were my go to.... i didn’t pack any of my vitamins, I wouldn’t have been able to tolerate them the first couple of days. I just started them yesterday and my surgery was on june 5. Also, an ice pack! There is one incision that starts to get really sore on or about day 3. It’s the larger of the incisions, on your left side and it’s where they take the stomach out of. It hurts! But the ice helps immensely.
  10. I just had my sleeve done on June 5th! I couldn’t be more excited for what is to come. My only concern is keeping track of protein and water and getting enough of each! I really have zero desire to eat, but other than that the pain is tolerable and I am getting better every day!
