Post op and bored
I don’t know what I’ve done, rest, shop online, read, organize and pick up after the kids.... but I’m really scared to go back to work on Monday.

Does the attention bother you?
I'm not looking forward to.... "You lost so much weight. You look sooooo good!" Not sure if anyone will actually say that but I’m anticipating it because I hear people say to others and I don’t really like what it means.

What was your first food after the liquid stage?
I made a black bean puréed soup. YUM! Then next meal was puréed hard boiled egg with either low fat mayo or Greek yogurt. That’s where I am right now. Love hearing the other options thanks everyone!

6 days post op ds surgery
I went in to surgery at 242.5lb and one day after surgery I was 249.1lb. 8 days later I am 229.5lbs. It took a few days and quite frankly a bowel movement to see the scale move.

Post Op Menu
I am 8 days post op (bypass) - Day 2 of puréed foods, and I’m finding it difficult to follow the breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, dinner sample menu provided. For example, I prefer a shake in the morning for breakfast, but then I am not hungry again for “snack” or “lunch” and here we are at 4pm and I’m ready to eat breakfast. Now I tried to eat “breakfast” at about 1pm but could not get it all down. Only a couple of bites. Any advice?

PAIN MANAGEMENT
In the hospital they gave me OxyContin and something in my IV and Tylenol. They didn’t want to give it... they made me feel like an addict. But I insisted. They sent me home with Oxy and Tylenol Rx and I crush those pills. I take them as I need them, which is very often.
