  5. The liquid diet was not bad at all.I was allowed 3 protein shakes a day and sugar free pudding and yogurt. Also sugar free jello and popsicles. I got full really fast because of the swelling in my stomach, but that has gone down. I was really nervous too before surgery but it wasn't that bad at all. Make sure you ask for pain meds, I had to ask for mine when it was time they didn't just bring it to me. Talk to you soon!
  6. Hi Melisa, my surgery went well sore for a few days but got better each day. I am on pureed foods now for 2 more weeks. I have lost 12 lbs. so far. 19. Hi everyone! I am having the Lap Band procedure done on August 5th by Dr. O'Malley at Highland Hospital in Rochester NY. I was wondering if anyone has had the surgery done with Dr. O'Malley and how you are doing. I have been researching and reading on this site for about 6 months now and have learned a great deal of information regarding this procedure. Thank you to everyone for their input and stories of their surgeries, it has been very helpful in making my decision. Thanks again and good luck to all!
