  5. Yes. The nausea is ****. I've experienced it a few times since surgery. I was told that the alcohol that gets rid of the germs can help. But I haven't sourced this yet. Sent from my SM-G955F using BariatricPal mobile app
  6. Has anyone started a private group on facebook for October surgery? I am 12days post surgery now. Text book recovery and feeling great. Went back to work on Wednesday (9days post op) and it's great to be back into a routine. Already feeling the weightloss in my clothes. Long may this continue. Hope everyone is having a great weekend ♡ Sent from my SM-G955F using BariatricPal mobile app
  7. I have to do Fragmin shots into my belly for 21days post op. It's not sore, just mentally hate injections so can't wait for this part to be over (4days post op, so still a way to go) Smell wise I haven't noticed anything however my gas is frequent and stinky!! 8. I asked a similar question. It's seemingly caused by ketosis... My mouth and breath feel stinking. Sent from my SM-G955F using BariatricPal mobile app

  11. Hi guys. Apologies on delay in coming on. Had bypass on the 1st October, had a remarkable recovery. No issues what so ever, very minimal pain and no gas pain... A lot of gas burps but no pain thank God. 7 little incisions across the abdomen and on a little paracetamol for pain but more muscular pain than anything else - like a day late pain after a tough session in the gym. Hopefully recovery continues this well. Was 13lbs down on the liver shrinkage diet and obviously did enough as surgeon was thrilled with my surgery. Went to theatre at 4.30pm and back in my own bed for 9.30pm... Was very sleepy for a while coming around and O2 levels kept dropping but that was it. Was up and out of bed with hair and make up done at 10am the next morning for surgeons rounds. I am currently on route to the Ferry (had surgery in the UK) and cannot wait to get into my own bed and surroundings. Hope everyone is doing ok x Sent from my SM-G955F using BariatricPal mobile app
  12. Under 2 weeks out from surgery now... Things are getting VERY real, very quickly!
  13. So glad to hear you are over and done with frustr8. Looking forward to hearing how you are recovering. Wishing you a speedy recovery. I know how much you have wanted this. Sent from my SM-G955F using BariatricPal mobile app
  14. I did thank God. Booked in for the 1st of October. Can't get my head around it... So nervous. How about you? Sent from my SM-G955F using BariatricPal mobile app
  15. I reckon we sound like we are in the same boat. Nervous for surgery and the initial recovery... But excited to see what happens and how things change post recovery. Congrats on making the decision to do this. It's been the most difficult choice of my life.. But hopefully the most worthwhile to get my life back. X Sent from my SM-G955F using BariatricPal mobile app
  16. Thanks@Frustr8 ... Maybe they won't. Who knows... I just know I am going through the motions today and I am sure I will be for the next few weeks. Everyone seems to be doing so well post surgery. I suppose I am just second guessing myself. Your op is approaching soon enough isn't it? Sent from my SM-G955F using BariatricPal mobile app
  17. After a long and hard fight to get approval for my Bypass - it finally got approved and am booked in for surgery on the 1st of October. The nerves are kicking in already and have been a ball of emotions today! Now begins the next month of a diet to ensure I am in better shape for it. I keep asking myself am I doing the right thing, I know I am as I am currently on a horrible road and if I keep going down the road I am going, it's not going to end well! Please tell me I am doing the right thing, and that you have all felt similar emotions!
  18. I too am hoping for an October date... Fingers crossed. I should know on Monday if its been approved or not... Congrats on the date and approval! Will not be long coming around for you
  19. Wishing you the very best of luck... I am sure all will go according to plan. Hope you have a smooth recovery! Make sure to keep us updated!
  20. Hi all. You guys are killing it with the weightloss. I am still going through the approval motions but all going well should be getting date set for early October. Which in the grand scheme of things doesn't seem so far away... One thing I am doing right now seems to be self sabotaging myself and eating ALL the food for fear of not being able to eat lime this again. Need to get some phsyc consults going before I do serious damage. Either that, or back to slimming world prior to surgery to get down a few lbs. I also have a back injury (anterior pelvic tilt)... Which makes exercising difficult. Can you all tell me how much excersise you had to do post surgery to see a difference in weight? I know the pain level will decrease once some weight is lost, but I am just scared that this will never improve. Sent from my SM-G955F using BariatricPal mobile app
