  2. So, I new here, and doing lots of reading of posts, and have discovered one unpleasant side effect of gastric bypass, namely the malodorous flatulence. I'm still trying to decide between RNY and sleeve, but having lifelong smelly gas may be the dealbreaker for me!! Does the gas go away??? Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app
  3. I appreciate all of your honest replies. Kinda makes me reconsider who I'll tell! I don't need any negativity or nay-sayers either!! Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app
  4. Thanks all for your replies and input. I'll probably tell some folks, but we'll see!! Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app
  5. I recently read a post where someone's coworkers were negative about WLS, and it got me wondering if I should tell folks or not. I tend to be open about stuff, and at work we frequently go out for celebrations so it might be obvious if I'm only eating a few bites. What's your take on telling people vs keeping it private? 6. Hi and thanks for the warm welcome! Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app
  7. Just found this forum and wanted to introduce myself. I'm Sarah from CT, and just recently decided to explore my options for bariatric surgery. Currently can't decide between VSG and RNY. This site has been so helpful! I'm leaning towards RNY because I have diabetes and reflux and also need to lose over 100 lbs. Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app
