4 months post op--disney??
I do have a closet of different sizes. In high school it was easy to stay fit i did crew and field hockey and i kept all those clothes. I am just hoping that because I am 26 and my starting weight is 240 that i will be ok after 3.5 months.

Yeah i am going to tell him about my vacation at the meeting before the surgery and see what he has to say about it. Id rather be prepared to have a tough time and know the worst case scenarios.

4 months post op--disney??
Its booked thats why im so scared! No going back now even if the day before i am not doing so well. I cant do that to his family being the only non blood or marriage relative. Putting a lot of pressure on my recovery but I guess all i can do is follow the instructions to the letter and hope for the best... i am still on the fence as to whether i will even get the surgery once i get the call to see if insurance approved me or not... but deep down i think ive already decided to. Just scared to say definitively yet. Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app

Thats awesome thank you. They also bought the food package that includes 1 alcoholic drink. Im curious as to whether i will even be allowed to drink it. I know someone who got a bypass and she gets drunk off 2 drinks, so i know if i do drink not to have more than 1. But can i even have 1, 4.5 months post op? Or is that different for everyone too?

I heard waist trainers arent that healthy because they squeeze you so much your organs, after a long amount of time wearing them, start to shift.. maybe a myth but. Just be careful! [emoji6][emoji173]

4 months post op--disney??
I am going to disney for the second time with my boyfriend of 5 years and 18 of his family members. We take a vacation every year and i am the only one not blood related or married into the family. My surgery is scheduled for november 5th pending insurance approval... will i be able to do Disney cruise for 3 nights and then to Disney for 3 days mid March, without slowing anyone down, or being sick, or not able to do certain things? I cant be the only non blood relative and be a burden or a pain. Its causing me a lot of anxiety about the surgery.

Surgery scheduled
Yes i have a good friend with GERD but i only get heartburn or acid reflux from certain foods. Tomato sauce oj etc.

Surgery scheduled
I dont understand why in all these nutritionist appointments and such i was told id need vitamins everyday for the rest of my life. I just wish i could talk to my surgeon asap. But the scheduler said once insurance approves it i will be seeing him, before the surgery. So i guess i can ask him all these questions then. But yes, my nutritionist told me with the sleeve i will have to take vitamins everyday for the rest of my life. I guess in a perfect world if i ate perfectly i might not need to but. How can you find out what vitamins youre low on? Just a blood test? I guess its all a process. A very daunting process. I think i still want the sleeve, because that is what all the doctors have said based on my case would be best for me. I am just worried that i wont be able to tolerate so many foods. And that will make life so much more difficult. Lifes hard enough without having to be like well i cant eat lettuce beef this that and the other. I know im venting very hard right now i appreciate your patience and advice

Surgery scheduled
What are the reasons people would want to reverse it? Because they cant eat what they want? Id rather be healthy. But if there are other reasons like your body cant tolerate a ton of foods and it just makes general day to day living extremely difficult because of your limited options and your special dietary needs. I thought they took out the part of the stomach that absorbs most of your vitamins and minerals and thats why vitamins were so important with the sleeve, but Theyre less important?

November 2018 Sleevers
Me. November 5th. And i am terrified. I almost feel like i may cancel before the date even comes.

Surgery scheduled
So my surgery is scheduled, after 6 months of going through all the pre reqs. Waiting for insurance approval for gastric sleeve. I am terrified. Ive never had any type of surgery before, never broken a bone. I am terrified ill get sick of taking vitamins everyday because someone told me their friend regrets getting it because of all the vitamins. I am terrified ill regret it and i cant take it back. Waiting for insurance approval for November 5th. I guess i have until then to decide. My insurance required me to see a nutritionist 3 times each 4 weeks apart. I lost over 30lbs on my own. Ive lost all the weight 3 times on my own and gotten to my goal weight before i ever considered this surgery. But everytime i get there and im like "so i can eat what i want now right" and gain it all back plus some. But what if this time is different, i am 10 years older than when i first gained all this weight my senior year. I went through all this and learned a lot. What if i can do it on my own? But if i could wouldnt i have done it by now? I dont know what to do. I am super indecisive in normal life, trying to decide what shirt to wear each morning is a process. So how do I make this huge decision that I cant take back, like changing into a new shirt?

Surgery, “it’s the easy way.”
My parents said why dont you just diet and exercise like youve done before this is so extreme.... yes LIKE IVE DONE BEFORE. I have lost and regained PLUS some at least 3 or 4 times, most of those times i did get down to my goal weight. But i didnt treat it as a lifestyle change. It was a diet until i didnt have to diet anymore. Not to mention everyone, including them, is overweight in my family. If its so easy to just diet and eat right we wouldnt be having this conversation. I can lose the weight. But i cant keep it off without help without permanant tools to keep me in line. This is exactly what i need and my surgeon agrees. Most people will never understand because they dont know what all comes along with it---its not easy, its different. But just as hard. Dont let people get to you guys! And only tell who you KNOW will support you--or dont tell anyone! This is your journey! Who goes on it with you is your choice!
