Kidney stones
Oh you poor thing I am so sorry. This terrifies me honestly. So are you sticking to protien shakes and supplements? Have you been on a calcium supplement? I hope I do not have issues bit I already know I am prone to stones so this is why I started this thread. I hope they get better. Did they recommend eating or drinking anything other than water to reduce risk? Have you been able to get 100oz of water in a day? That is so much and I haven't even been sleeved yet ☹️[emoji25]

Kidney stones
good to know i will have to check into this as well. Its a struggle as the diet that we are supposed to follow post op is what you should avoid with stones

Kidney stones
i will for sure have mine checked thank you! i have only ever had 2 stones but if i get another one we are definitely be doing some tests. nasty little things.

Kidney stones
This is true if you are using a natural source of calcium. If you are taking a supplement you can increase the chances of stones.

Kidney stones
I was able to catch one of mine it was Brown in color with little yellow crystals on it. Meanest little thing ever this was by far the worst one I have passed. They took it but didn't test it [emoji25]☹️

Kidney stones
I'm still pre op and didn't ever have mine tested but yes I am going to talk to my doctor and see what they suggest.

Kidney stones
Awesome I hope that this will help then! That's great they are not fun at all I have had some people tell me that they were worse than the surgery! I will probably have my blood and urine tested to see. It's been about a year since my last one and I don't want another!

Dumping syndrome
We do have similar stats! I still have mine too haha I just ask because I know some people have issues with it after surgery. Hoping I'm not one of them! I am 5' 3" and I am 27, I'll be 28 in August [emoji4] I am sure you look great I know it can be hard to see a change in yourself! You've lost a lot of weight! That is something to be proud of

Kidney stones
Ah I see I have only had 2 and never had the chance to get them tested to see what they were made of. I know that is a key in stones so you can figure out what excess minerals are there. We're your stones Calcium? Is that what you mean by the levels going down? So were you on medication to help prevent kidney stones? I am glad to hear you haven't had issues. Stones are the worst! I seemed to get mine around the time that I was following a keto diet. So that could have been the cause.

Dumping syndrome
I hate the gym haha I am uncomfortable there... But I need to go. I have 2 boxers that get me out and walking everyday so that is good. I definitely need this tool I am so tired of being the fat one ?[emoji23] 130 is only 40 pounds away your so close! How tall are you? I am sure you will get there! You are doing really well! Do you still have your gallbladder?

Dumping syndrome
Yeah I know exactly what you are talking about. I did keto for about 9 ish weeks. I was also going to the gym 6 days a week. Yeah this is why I want surgery I have lost and gained that same 30 pounds back way to many times. That is about where I am at 230 I'm hoping to make it down to at least 150 or lower [emoji4] That's awesome 170 is great I am sure you will continue to loose! Keto was one of the easier diets I had tried honestly.

Dumping syndrome
I did I lost about 30 pounds. I haven't had surgery yet but it was the one diet that did actually work for me. I unfortunately let myself fall back into old habits and have gained about 15 back ☹️

Dumping syndrome
I think I've also experienced it pre op. There has been times where I was in keto and I'd cheat and get a cookie and drink from a local place and it always made me feel soooo sick. I didn't eat cookies from there for about 6 months because I felt so crappy. Lots of nausea.

Kidney stones
I have had kidney stones prior to wls I am wondering.if anyone has issues with them post op? If so did you get them before surgery, have they gotten worse? I am certainly hoping not I know after surgery I will be much more concious of the water intake I am getting. But it scares me those little suckers were the worst.

Dumping syndrome
That sounds terrible I'm sorry you guys experience it. I knew it happened to some sleevers not all but some. I hope I don't get it!
-
Dumping syndrome
Yeah I know sleevers typically don't dump but I have seen that some people have. Just curious if anyone had any issues. I hope I don't!

Dumping syndrome
Had anyone who had the sleeve had dumping syndrome? If so do you know what caused it? This is a fear of mine post surgery.

Long term side effects of vsg
That is so good to hear! I feel like being in that +-10lb range is pretty normal and ok i feel like most "normal" people chase that range of weight! plus 10 pounds is doable if you are managing it at 10 and not 100 that is amazing! Glad to hear you haven't had many side effects! I haven't had any issues with blood sugars but i am glad it is manageable after the sleeve! i cant wait to be on the other side of this! Congrats on getting your life back

Long term side effects of vsg

Long term side effects of vsg
I know it's a double ended sword. I looked it up and being larger around your midsection (me) is a main reason people get them haha. I guess I'll see what my doctor says [emoji108]

Long term side effects of vsg
Gah it seems like everyone has had it removed during surgery or already had it out. That is one thing I am slightly worried about but I guess I will just make sure it's checked beforehand and if they see anything I'll look into same time removal
