8 months post op down 85 pounds
I am 8 months post op VSG and have lost 85 pounds! My surgeon is surprised I hit the goal so quickly and can’t predict whether or not I’ll keep losing or stay here. Any tips on how to maintain and not continue to lose????

Post op pain
I didn’t have a C-Section but I did have my son vaginally naturally with no meds. This is nothing in comparison. I was just sleeve last Monday 4/9. The gas pain is what I would say was the worse maybe 6/10? Nothing crazy. I took pain meds day 1 & 2 and after that didn’t take anything else.

No Bowel Movement in 8 days
I am 7 days post op and I still have not had a bowel movement. I am still on full liquids only (water, Ice Chips, Crystal Light & Sugar free ice pops are all I can tolerate). I’ve been drinking smooth move tea because i haven’t been eager to take any oral laxatives. Should I be concerned? Or is this okay since I’m only drinking liquids????

I definitely had that “what did I do” feeling days 1 & 2 while I was in the most pain but so many people told me to expect so I didn’t let it get to me. Keep your head up! Wishing you a speedy recovery

4 days post op sleeve — gas pain is horrible!
I was sleeved this past Monday 4/9. Today is the first day that I’ve been able to tolerate keeping liquids down (yes, even water). I was just discharged last night because my doc wanted me on IV fluids until I could keep liquids down. My incisions look good, I have minimal pain in my stomach but these gas pains OMG! Anyone have any tips on how to relieve it? I’ve been walking & infant Gas-x to no relief.

“You don’t need that just go to the gym”
Anyone else getting this reply? I’ve only told a few people about my surgery and most of them give me this response. One of the specialists even flat out said “I see people who really need it and you aren’t one of them” which was kinda discouraging. Am I taking the “easy way out”?
