  1. Im checked in at the hospital and ready to begin this journey. Keep me in your prayers for a safe surgery and speedy recovery! See you on the loser's bench! [emoji6]
  2. You're doing great. After two weeks of liquids, I lost seven pounds. My nutritionist said its also to prepare me for post op. Surgery is tomorrow and my liver should be really small as I was 100% faithful. You got this!
  3. I did 14 days of liquids prior to my one day of clear liquids
  4. The liquid diet is a mental challenge. Im on my one day of clear liquids and I have not been hungry. I keep reminding myself that tomorrow is the beginning of my new journey. My family stopped by with chicken, sweets and everything else. It didn't bother me at all...I sat with them and drank my Protein20. My surgery is at 8:00 am tomorrow morning. Hang in there, its almost over.
  5. Praying all went well [emoji120]?
  6. I'm doing two to three shakes, broth, jello and/or sugar free pudding with lots of water.
  7. One week post op? You go girl!
  8. Sending up prayers [emoji120]?
  9. You too@Sharonc67...check in and let me know how you're doing.
  10. Countdown has officially begun. House is in order and I have my clear liquids for Tuesday. I'm planning to pamper myself on Tuesday [emoji4][emoji6]
  11. We've all been there before with the "last supper"!!! You've come this far now and that's a major accomplishment. All of us are here to support you and await to see you on the "other side" ( post op).
  12. Thank you so much for the encouragement.
  13. We're almost there. Today was the first time I struggled. I decided to grab a bottle of water and took a nice walk. I felt better afterwards. Good luck on Wednesday
  14. Im on day 10 of liquids: protein shakes, sugar free jello/pudding, cream soup and lots of water. Surgery is Wednesday
  15. Im on day 10 of my liquid diet and I've lost 5.5 pounds. My nutritionist said not to worry as long as I'm following it correctly.
  16. I definitely understand. My surgery is on the 25th and I'm on Day 10 of my pre-op diet. I have been faced with temptation almost every one of these past 10 days...chocolate/cookies/cake/doughnuts in the office; smelling McDonald's french fries, etc. I have been strong by focusing my attention on the outcome. I keep saying to myself "I'm almost there!" So far, it's worked for me. Wishing you the very best.
  17. Hey surgery twin! Yes, this weekend is my time to get my house "in order". I need to pick up my clear liquids for Tuesday and Thursday/Friday. I was concerned that I haven't lost a lot during my pre-op diet, but I've been reassured I'm on the right track! See you on the loser's bench
  18. Exactly....focus on more positive things and everything will work out. My surgery is only five days away. I'm anxious and excited. I'm doing this so that I can be around for my grand-daughter. It's because of her that I made this decision...carrying her one day had me breathing hard, my legs and back were hurting. I want to be healthy for her!
  19. I think its natural to be nervous. The only person who knows if you're making the right decision is YOU! You can do this and all of us will support you. Just think of the outcome [emoji4]
  20. April 25 and I'm in Florida
