Definitely! The liquid diet is tough. Gotta keep your eye on the prize!

I don't think there is anyone in the history of WLS who has not had a hard time on the liquid diet. The only recommendation is if you are going to cheat cheat with a lean protein.

The liquid diet is a mental challenge. Im on my one day of clear liquids and I have not been hungry. I keep reminding myself that tomorrow is the beginning of my new journey. My family stopped by with chicken, sweets and everything else. It didn't bother me at all...I sat with them and drank my Protein20. My surgery is at 8:00 am tomorrow morning. Hang in there, its almost over.

I did 14 days of liquids prior to my one day of clear liquids

Best wishes that all goes smoothly and you recover quickly!

You can do it! I didn't think I would survive and was sick of it, but all in all it is doable. Eating food this close to surgery could cause food to interfere with the staples and cause icky things to happen. Celebrate the success you have had so far, you've got this!
