  1. @tealael i’m doing pretty good! i stayed in the hospital for two nights, so i got home friday afternoon. most of my pain has been manageable with just tylenol which is fabulous. and i got my period my first day home, woohooo!
  2. it definitely will! from what i’ve read, after surgery you’re extremely fertile so if you don’t want to be preggers be extra careful! i got the sleeve done this past wednesday!
  3. ugh yeah how weird is that! i think it’s probably more so if i were talking the narcotics but since i’m not i could probably drive if i really wanted to. but they want you to have full range of motion and i guess it is a little sore if i were to turn around when pulling out or something. luckily i don’t really need to go anywhere for the next few days!
  4. congrats on being down 10lbs that’s awesome!! you got surgery 7/25 as well right? i haven’t weighed myself yet. ugh yes even though i was tired after getting out of the house was so nice. can’t wait to be able to drive though
  5. i’m hoping when i go in for my one week post op appointment they say i don’t have to do them anymore. i’ve been really good about walking around the house and not staying still too much so fingers crossed
  6. @ALFxRNY yeah they gave me the option, they suggested my thigh since i’ve got enough going on on my stomach right now. but i can do either! have you been able to do it yourself? my best friend is a CNA/PCA and lives 2 min away so she’s been coming over to do them for me since i’m such a wimp about it ?
  7. end of post-op day 3! felt pretty good today, was able to walk around a lot. my thighs are all bruised up though from having to do lovenox injections which is annoying. had to take a stool softener to get things going. have just been taking 650mg of tylenol and haven’t had to take my dilaudid which i’m very glad about! what was easiest for me to get down today was hot Water with a chicken bullion tossed in. i prob had 32 oz of just that (counts as a clear liquid in my post op diet!). for some reason i can’t get applesauce down, it just feels like it’s stuck in my sernum? anyone else have an issue like that? also went out to walgreens with my sister and that wiped me out, which was really weird to experience. but i am only on the end of day 3 so i’m not beating myself up about getting tired so fast.
  8. hahah yeah definitely did... counting down the days until i can start my birth control again.... august 26th here i come
  9. well i’m sure you’re all at the edge of your seats, but i got my period today (week and a half early). normally i’d be annoyed cause like, dude, i just got surgery you’re really gonna do me like this AND give me my period? but i’m relieved ?
  10. interesting, i just had my first BM today but pretty constipated. hoping the miralax works out well for you!
  11. weird, i’ve had a hardish time with water so i’m sure that’s part of it too.
  12. weird question: does anyone else’s pee smell really bad? like vinegar-y almost? i’m sure it’s just from being pumped with IV fluids but it’s awful lol.... just keep drinking a ton of water hoping that will help. Also wondering when people had their first BM after surgery
  13. got my surgery done 7/25, just got home today at 230pm. feeling pretty good!
  14. hey guys! i’m having a hard time sleeping now at home, i’m a side sleeper. the hospital didn’t say anything about NOT sleeping on my side, it’s just pretty uncomfortable still. was wondering what sleeping positions you all found the most comfortable the first few days after surgery
  15. pretty good! i didn’t get up that fast after surgery but after my first night i felt much better. really only is gas pains at this point, im having my mom bring by gas x strips but i can go home today
  16. yeah my pain right now is pretty much just gas pains. i’ll keep trying to go on walks! how are you feeling otherwise!
  17. same here! surgery was 7/25. yesterday i was in pretty bad pain (mostly gas pains though) and it helped so much to walk around. still feeling my gas pains in my neck and shoulders though, i’ve only been able to burp.
  18. lots of nausea last night, didn’t sleep very well (though i think that’s just because i’m not in my own bed) and had to get my IV switched to my other hand because it was leaking. other than that everything has gone really well! they said i could go home this afternoon or tomorrow AM depending on how i feel. how is everyone else feeling?
  19. at the hospital waiting for them to take me!
  20. tomorrow is the big day for a few of us!! anyone nervous?
  21. awesome! i just use a vape for dry herb so there’s no nicotine ever
  22. lol tell me about it... it hasn’t gone very well. but it is what it is, id rather use this for my anxiety. i feel okay about it though because i’ve been vaping and i read that that’s “better”
  23. yeah i know. we’ve hooked up in the past and know each other’s history’s though so that wasn’t what i was worried about
  24. i mean, i love kids, i nanny for my job... but i’m also 22 and this is just a hookup, not someone i would want to be with my whole life ya know? condoms are no fun for anyone LOL i usually am fine because i’m on birth control but it was so heat of the moment and i just didn’t think of it. i’m thinking that i’ll be okay
  25. ugh i know!! it was a heat of the moment type deal ? it won’t happen again, lol trust me!
