  1. Wow what a great topic. I found by accident and you are all great role models. I hope to compete in my first bodybuilding comp next year at the age of 55. I am working hard towards this goal. bench 106lb 3 x 10 swat 92lb 3 x 10 D/lift 105lb 3 x 10 At the moment I am getting some gains eating approx 1500 calories a day - which means eating just about all day. Body fat 19% Muscle 49%. However will need to get much leaner. Any tips and ideas on how I can achieve this would be welcome. I have what my cardio as I lose muscle.

  3. Good luck with yours. I travel to Sydney tomorrow for my surgery as I live 3.5 hours away from the hospital and I need to be there early the next morning. All the normal feelings both worried and happy. I hope I have the commitment to follow though with this lifestyle change the fear of failing is quite strong at the moment. Again I am sure these are just normal feeling. I love how supported everyone has been and thank you all for sharing your journeys.
  4. I hope you are feeling a little better after reading the above posts, they all come from heart and wisdom and I am also making mental notes to myself. Take care and keep reaching out.
  5. Hi I joined this community a few weeks ago and have found this site full of wonderful and insightful weight lost journeys. My sleeve is scheduled for the 3/27/2018 and I have started my 2 week liquid diet. I am from a very small country town in New South Wales Australia and I find it interesting reading your journeys of how many steps and processes you have to go though before you are eligible for WLS. I like the education you seem to receive along the way and how open people are to share their journey and experience, Thank you in advance
  6. I have no answer. However this is one of my major concerns after surgery 3/27. Part of my problem with food is my fear of lack of energy (I have very physical demanding job) so I tend to over eat thinking I am compensating and filling my energy banks. If you are feeling a lack of energy after the surgery ...which can be expected as you recover, but what about long term? I look forward also to any answers.
  7. Me too, just nerves, you are before me so I will watch and see best of luck.
  8. Very keen to see how everyone goes. My date is March 27.
