  2. You was able to leave 7 hrs later? No overnight stay?
  3. Haha...ok. Things we women worry on. It's not I'll know that I'm exposed anyhow and hopefully time i get that far I'll be so excited that I won't care at all. Thanks guys!
  4. Was wondering is anyone is or has had surgery in Lexington, Ky at St Josephs?
  5. Ladies, What kind of undies do you bring to surgery with you? Do you wear them during the surgery itself? I don't know how I feel being so exposed if not....lol What about socks? Thanks so much!!
  6. I will have to do some research on this. I have never really thought about it until I decided go for bypass surgery and read others talk about it. Thanks so much! I will for sure have it checked out now:)

  15. Congrats msjenae! I have a question...what does everything submitted to insurance mean? Do they not do that at the beginning? Does this mean they can still sent you or that your not yet approved? I'm a little confused about how it all works.
  16. My seminar will be in Lexington, Ky. I live nearby. Which surgery have you decided on and yes!! I would love to be friends!! This is all so new, scary and exciting at the same time!!
  17. I'm new here and in two weeks I am going to a seminar that i am required to go to before i can make any appointments. I hope i at least get an appointment to see someone to get started soon after that. I have been preapproved by my insurance and they have assigned me one of their nurses and I have a phone appointment with her or him in a few days. This seems to be a big process and I am so excited and ready to get started. I think i have decided to the the bypass surgery for sure after much research. I also have decided to only tell two people. My best sister/friend and my boyfriend. I was terrified to tell him but finally broke down tonight and did. He was very supportive and man do i love that man!! Now i can openly talk about it to someone and that feels great!! Hope everyone is having a great night!!
  18. I have a question about insurance. I have United Healthcare. Will it cover seeing the nutritionist, and everyone else i may have to see? Will I have to pay a co pay at each visit or is it all one pay? I was curious. I have been so excited for the surgery that i haven't even given this a thought. Thanks:)
  19. Thank you thank you thank you!! This is what i want! Straight up honestly whether it's someone's opinion or pure fact. I really do appreciate it and no you didn't scare me. I am just excited and anxious to get going!! Thanks again!!
  20. So overwhelming!! I suppose i will see when i get there. I just have to be patient:) Congrats on your results!!
  21. Wow your results are amazing!!!! Congrats to you!!
  22. HI New to this forum and it's so educating reading everyone's stories, goals, concerns, ect. You guys amaze me at your strength and determination. After much research i think i am going to have the gastric sleeve. Personally I think it's the best option for me. I talked to my insurance today because i had to get preapproved and things look good there. They have assigned me one of their nurses who will call weekly before and after surgery so that is nice. Now i have to call for an appt with a surgeon. I will do that tomorrow seeing how that closed early today. My biggest fear is telling my boyfriend and family. I am terrified to tell him afraid he will say he doesn't want me to or to tell my family or friends. Honestly I may not tell them at all but will have to tell the boyfriend seeing how we live together...lol Anyhow any advice will be greatly appreciated. You guys have a great day!!
  23. Wow!! That seem's like forever!! MY BMI is 40 right now. What if it drops down below that before then? Will they deny my surgery? I was really hoping not to have to go through another summer this big.... I know this sounds silly and i need to take a breath...
  24. I am new here and just now starting the process. I talked to my insurance today and they assigned me one of their nurses that will be with me through out everything and give me the names of the hospitals and surgeons my insurance will cover and told me to make the appointment. Does anyone know how long it takes to actually have the surgery after then? I know i am excited and anxious but can't help it!! I want to be healthy!!
