  1. I went through the same! Low energy, anxiety about clots, thinking I made a mistake and lots of naps. My friends even came to visit about 4 days out and I couldn’t wait for them to leave so I could lay back down. I didn’t even have pain meds after day 2 so I couldn’t blame that. I was just beat. It passed by 2 weeks post. Just hang in there, get up anyways, follow the program anyways and when it passes you’ll feel great!
  2. No personal experience but my surgeon performs duo switch to revise sleeve after weight gain or if loss is not enough.

    Post-op with surgeon Houston Tx

I had no pre-op liquid diet. It was all solids and it was just a low calorie meal plan. Good luck [emoji16]
  5. I’m struggling a bit to get my food in so today I mixed some unflavored protein power in with my decaf coffee with Splenda and non dairy creamer. It’s water and protein! Winner! The trick is to let the coffee cool to 140 before you can put protein powder or it curdles up. I added a scoop then mixed it with a fork. Good luck with your new job when it comes. Fresh starts are amazing [emoji6]

    Why no caffeine

Mine was to avoid a caffeine headache especially since I wasn’t allowed and Motrin or NSAIDs one week prior and one month after
  8. It was explained to me that the one thing I could not do without surgery was to change my metabolism. That piece would require a surgical fix at this point in my life since my metabolism has been blown. My surgeon related it to trying to hold a beach ball under water because it always wants to come back up to its new set point. That’s why sleeve and rny are categorized as metabolic surgeries. Sure I could and have lost weight in my own but I always go back up like the beach ball
  9. Tastes so good! I’m not allowed solids until March 5th and this is making me happy [emoji16] 16oz ricotta- 1 cup parm- 2 eggs mixed and poured into pan. Topped with 1c plain tomato sauce and 1c mozzarella

    How to get enough protein.

I add a scoop of unflavored protein powder to my protein shakes, purée and soup. Unjury or isolate

Newbie here I just have a few questions.

    1. Find out if your insurance requires a referral to the weight loss surgery center 2. Find out from your insurance what the medical policy is and what’s required to qualify 3. Pre-op diet is different for each center. Some have all liquids and some have reduced calories

    Hunger

My post op for a whole month is a blended diet so I can have condensed soup but it needs to be puréed. Campbell’s makes a cream of onion that I liked [emoji16]

Initial Consult Has Come & Gone

Congrats on all the work put in so far. My husband was not thrilled about my surgery but he’s still been supportive and at this point I think he’s over his worries. I was sleeved on 2/7 [emoji16]
